My first news this morning was from the prayer thread of our church. A daughter wrote that her mother was finally in the arms of Jesus. The body is reluctant to let go of life even when we long for it. I happened to run into the daughter, who was picking up some food as they waited. I was glad to have the opportunity to hug and reassure her of our prayers. I was glad to see she had come to terms with her mother leaving. Her father passed away only a few months ago and she has her own health issues although she is quite young. Christian fellowship is precious.
We have another beautiful day, weatherwise. Our daughter was going to stop by on the way to the cabin she and her husband bought, but her flight was delayed, so we will see her tomorrow, Lord willing.
Cleaning out some of our old files and found son’s Eagle Scout certificate and some old homeschool info. Move out the old to make room for more newer file needs. I hope son will be glad to see these things and not groan. We still have the scout uniform and badges in the closet, too. And in another locale, I found part of my father’s dress blues from the Navy. Old uniforms nver die. They just get stuffed to the back of closets.
I still have some Awana vests, too, Janice and way too much stuff. I was surprised to see my granddaughter wearing some clothes her mother wore in high school. You never know what someone may want, so you put off getting rid of them.
Good morning! We are going into a heat wave so it will feel like over 100°. It says very warm overnight.
Dragon Con has begun. All the news about it is fun.
I am sitting outside enjoying coffee and listening to the crows cawing. The cicadas are singing, too.

It is so nice when you can take a nap. It is not unusual for me to be awake a few hours in the night. I feel blessed when I am not!

Warm here and dry. Janice the setting for your morning coffee sounds so peaceful. I miss the sounds of cicadas and crickets in the summertime.
Those kitties up there are so darn cute!

Yes! Those kitties are most wonderful and look like good cuddles. I do miss that about an indoor cat.
