Another pleasant conversation, this one with grandpa who is tired of waiting to die and wants to get on with it. I told him I think he is getting close and let him know we sit with him often during the night as we know he does not want to be alone. He thanked me, unusual for him. We talked about already being seated in the heavenlies and what that might look like. Fun conversation.
π Abby is coming along well, though she did manage to squirm her way up on the small couch I was on last night watching TV … she pushed her way behind me, serving as a bolster pillow.
π This morning she stopped Annie as the cat was walking through the living room. They stood nose to nose, then Abby licked her across her face.
π Still some fine-tune training to do.
π The sun is out. Tomorrow will be cloudy again and only get up to 56. Jacket & flannel sheet weather.
π Weekends.
π¦ Sad and disturbing events in the news, shootings, the deadly police beating, amid what feels like a loss of our bearings in this nation in the past several years.
π Found a virtually new, hooded, very cold-weather jacket (Weather-Edge, Eddie Bauer) that is too big for me and something I just don’t need right now in my closet today. I’d forgotten about it but recall now I bought this several years ago, when EB had their after-Christmas deep-discounted winter sale; it was even big for me then, but I thought it may come in handy for a snow trip I was thinking about at the time.
I washed it up and will put it in the clothing collection bin tomorrow at the shopping center, what a great jacket for someone who’s living outside.
Gotta get to the rest of the stuff in that closet now!
πππAfter 11 years of a painted plywood floor in my entry/family room/dining room, we are installing a lvt wood look floor. In 1 Β½ days we put down the plywood underlay, cemented the seams, sanded the seams and then put down the first four rows of ‘planks’. It already looks so good. Apparently January is the time to buy flooring – we got the tile planks and the plywood for less than half the non-sale price of the lvt alone! I am so thankful. I was beginning to think we wouldn’t ever get the floor done.
We had to stop last night and put it all on hold until husband gets his recertification done for work. π
πKootenay has no fear of power tool noise or hammers banging or large pieces of plywood being moved right beside him. So different from our Keva.
