  1. Good morning, all. Husband and children are all off to work the VFW sausage feed. My dad and I will enjoy a quiet day watching it rain.

  2. That sounds so sweet, Mumsee. I am so thankful to hear how well things are going with your Dad.

It’s a coolish start to the day, but tomorrow is expected go get up to 89°. That thought is prompting me to mow today. I hate to mow down the white blooming wild bugle weed (ajuga) and blooming clover in the main part of the yard. They attract bees which I love to help out. But if I don’t mow, it will get too thick and tall for me to deal with.

The ajuga I had planted on the side yard had little spires of purple blooms. I may yet get to plant more since some of the sod is not greening up as much as other parts.

  3. Morning! We awakened to lightening and window rattling thunder! It is now snowing and it is predicted we will see 8 more inches of wet heavy branch breaking snow. Time to bring out the Christmas tree?

I have ajuga along my front wall Janice. One of my favorite plants. I see some green sprouts and hopefully this snow will be the insulating kind…my ajuga has been very hardy in these conditions!

I might be logged in but we shall see. I have a dickens of a time trying to get logged in to this site!

  4. Ugh! Eight inches of wet snow is no fun.

I see that plant is from the mint family. Those can always be so invasive. Pretty plant, though.

We have lots of water in the front yard again. I guess we are making up for the little snow we had this winter.

  5. Not that long until Christmas! Really. The months are speeding by, almost May; then summer (3 mos). Then fall.

I still should take down my winter door wreath soon.

  6. Current plan for daughter: get her to Lewiston to meet with the crisis management team. They will take her to lunch and show her the nice two bedroom apartment they have for her and attempt to persuade her it is the place for her. They will staff her apartment with aides twenty four/ seven. They will take her to work or play, try to teach her to cook, do laundry, clean her space, study for her GED. Whatever she wants to do. And take over being her fiduciary.

  7. Janice, we need to arrange a ride. I won’t take her as she has threatened to leap from my car and yells profanities at me. Mike should not. Best worker may not be available. Second worker will try to talk her out of it because she likes her paycheck.

Then daughter needs to be persuaded this is what she wants. It is what she requested six months ago and has been in the works that long but she has changed her mind multiple times.

Then they have to catch her on a day she wants to when it is time to move her.

  9. My dad was excited to get to church this morning. He read the end of Revelation.

Daughter did not show up for our meet up so that was nice.

  11. Another good Sunday school teaching. We covered Joseph and his brothers and their jealousy. The sermon was again from Acts when Paul was beaten and jailed as a Roman citizen. The message was about how God is always with believers. A very comforting sermon.

  12. Huh, dj! I just took down our Christmas wreath. It was still so pretty with the red berry sprays and silver leaf on top of the real pine branches.

We had breakfast out after church with our snowbird friend who just returned from AZ. She was not happy with how cold and windy it is, but then neither are we. Soon enough the heat will be the complaint, although that doesn’t bother her or my husband nearly as much as it does me.

My oldest will turn 50 this year. My how the years do fly by!

One of our grands will be playing in the Marine Band somewhere in the world after his college graduation in May of 2025, barring the Lord’s return or anything else. Grandchildren sure bring some surprises.
