Prayer Requests 1-28-23

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 16

miktam of David.

Keep me safe, my God,
    for in you I take refuge.

I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
    apart from you I have no good thing.”
I say of the holy people who are in the land,
    “They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more.
    I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
    or take up their names on my lips.

Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup;
    you make my lot secure.
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    surely I have a delightful inheritance.
I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
    even at night my heart instructs me.
I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
    With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
    my body also will rest secure,
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
    nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
    you will fill me with joy in your presence,
    with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

  1. Good morning from cold Atlanta. We’re suppose to warm up to the 50s today. It’s another Keep ‘Em Chaging Clothes day.

    I forgot about two churches we attended early in our marriage, and actually one of them we got married in which seems a lifetime ago. Both were very old church buildings with history, mainline Presbyterian. I will round up photos of them.

  2. A friend with leukemia just heard he has more chemo than he thought. He is a believer. He could use a some prayer, so send some up for J.J. when you have a chance.

  3. Oh, now I find my lost post😀

    Prayers for J.J. So sorry to hear that disappointing news he received. With cancer it seems the unexpected is frequently the norm.

    I am a bit worn down from the previous five days. Please pray I will feel recouperated by Monday. Thank you, dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

  4. We thought that Boy was getting over his latest bout with Covid (which was coming on by Wednesday evening, and more apparent by Thursday morning), but his coughing was worse yesterday, and then he was up much of the night, coughing.

    Please pray that he will recover soon, and also that somehow Nightingale and I will escape getting it, or that if we do get it, our symptoms will not be too bad. Thank you.
