Husband applied for a position higher up at work not thinking he would even make it through the screening process. He has a written exam Monday and Tuesday and then an interview on Thursday. Boy was he surprised! Please pray for God’s leading and for doors to be firmly shut or clearly opened.
Please continue to pray for 4th Arrow, my 15-year-old daughter. So many unexplained symptoms. Tests on her heart, lungs, kidneys, and for diabetes and thyroid have all come back normal. She had whole-body tingling a week and a half ago that lasted one hour. She has headaches every day — top and back of her head, central forehead, temples, jaw joint occasionally — and head pressure increases every time she stands up. Her head hurts more when she tries to take a deep breath, and her vision darkens a little at the same time.
She is also having some symptoms that could point toward a seizure disorder, though I’ve never witnessed anything like that in her.
I am trying really hard not to think brain tumor, but the thought crosses my mind the more her symptoms persist and other things get ruled out.
She has another appointment on Friday. Thank you for your prayers.
Praying 6arrows….it is in times such as these that being a Mom is so very difficult…we just want our babies to be ok…trusting our Lord to still your heart and bring you deep into His calming Spirit….I have a sign at my front door and my back door…. “Be still….and know…” ❤
6 Arrows – Is it possible she is suffering from some form of anxiety? I have had some of those symptoms – such as tingling in the body, vision going dark (near to fainting & fainting) – in times of anxiety, especially as a teenager about her age.
Remember I went in to talk with the business and remind them of the child labor laws saying son was not allowed to be working with their equipment? Son has been going around bragging about backing a forklift into the boss’s brand new truck last Friday. Prayer for wisdom.
Kizzie, yes, my husband and I believe it’s entirely possible anxiety could be behind this. Thus our difficulty in knowing how much to talk with her about her symptoms. I don’t want to be in the dark about what she’s experiencing, or act like I don’t care by never asking her how she’s feeling, but I also don’t want to overdo it on the questions or give excessive attention, because sometimes that can make things worse, putting a big focus on what doesn’t seem normal.
She was told to limit some of her activities when she got diagnosed with costochondritis in early July, so it could be that her lower level of physical activity precipitated some of these other symptoms that started in late July and continued through this month. Emotional well-being tends to go into decline the less active one is.
But then there’s also the tricky Lyme issue, and how much that may be affecting her…
Prayers for wisdom appreciated as we try to up her activity level to previous levels, and maybe even beyond the amount she used to do.
And prayers for all of us to “Be still and know that [He is] God.” (Love that verse, NancyJill. Thank you for the reminder.)
