Week 5, folks! So far, Mumsee has won half the time, including last week. So, of course, she picked Boise State Broncos for the tie breaker. (I’m reminded of the theme from the old “Mr. Ed” TV show: “A horse is a horse, a horse of course…”) She manages to pick them whenever they play a team whose mascot is the Cowboy. Interesting.

Chas won last week, so he picked his favorite South Carolina for the tie breaker. The Pillow Fight is a true bottom of the barrel game, as the two worst teams in NCAA Division 1, at least according to ESPN’s Bottom 10 poll, go at it. New Mexico State travels all the way to El Paso for a match up with UT-El Paso. All the way here means about 40 miles south on Interstate 10.
Anyway, have at it and let’s see who can get it right. So far our best score has been a disappointing 6 out of 10, and only one of us has predicted the winner in a tie breaker game.

It’s going to be a big one as #17 Boise State Broncos travels to Oklahoma to take on the #24 OSU Cowboys. A real rodeo there. And the Pillow Fight moved North, since the ESPN choice is in the hurricane zone, so I chose two winless teams from the Midwest.

It’s Week 2 in PPPPP world. Kim won last week and chose the tie breaker, which also is the ESPN “Pillow Fight of the Week”. That’s right. Both East Carolina and North Carolina are that bad. There aren’t many quality Top 25 games this week, so the games are not as “important” as they will be later in the season. But I included UCLA this week just to get our busy author to take a break from her daunting task of editing her latest novel. You need it, Ma’am.
Remember, pick the winner of all the games and the score of the tie breaker. No prizes, just bragging rights and the chance to pick the next tie breaker. Hopefully all the games will be played. Both Nebraska and Iowa State cancelled games last week due to thunderstorms, and this weekend the remnants of Gordon are hitting the area. We’ll see.

I’ve been busy this week, but here is the list for the opening week of Peter’s Pack of Pickled Pigskin Picks. That’s right, folks. The NCAA College football season begins this week. So here are your choices for Week 1. Let’s see who the weak one is this time.
