“The Biden/Harris “Inflation Reduction Act” is Literally Funding Domestic Terrorism inside the United States!

    • Sen. Shelley Moore Capito and Pete Ricketts made held a presser on their investigation into the distribution of funds in the Biden/Harris “Inflation Reduction Act” (IRA)

—— “We have renamed it the ‘Invest in Radical Activity Act’”

    • There is $3 BILLION in the (IRA) that are designated into climate efforts via Grants…

—— “our investigation shows a lot of this money has little to do with the environment and a lot to do with funding multiple anti-American groups”

THESE SAME GROUPS have formed a coalition and guess who they’re endorsing for President? KAMALA HARRIS!

🔴 These are a few of the Groups:

    • $100 Million went to ‘Climate Justice’

    —— this group glorifies Hamas

—— this group wants to abolish Israel

—— since this investigation, they have completely changed their website!

    • $53 Million went to the Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs/Ellis Baker Center for Human Rights

—— they want to defund & Abolish the Police

—— they want to defund the US Military

—— they want to abolish prisons

—— they want to decriminalize shop lifting.

—— Recent funding (last week) gave them an additional $1-3 Million dollars

    • $50 Million went to the ‘NY Immigration Coalition & NJ Alliance for Immigrant Justice (Partners)’

—— they want to Defund ICE

—— they say the concept of Border and Citizenship is Racist!

    • The EPA when questioned about this said, “well, we don’t look into any of the partner organizations.” 🤦🏻‍♂️

    Do you feel sick yet?”

“BREAKING: JD Vance just humiliated a reporter that was race baiting him about Kamala Harris.

Reporter: “The former president’s comments yesterday to the National Association of Black Journalists where he said that Vice President Harris is, quote, all of a sudden black. As a father of three biracial children, did those comments give you pause at all?”

JD Vance: “They don’t give me pause at all. Look, all he said is that Kamala Harris is a chameleon. She goes to Georgia two days ago. She was raised in Canada. She puts on a fake southern accent.

She is everything to everybody and she pretends to be somebody different depending on which audience she’s in front of. I think it’s totally reasonable for the president to call that out. And that’s all he did.”

He is heading up White Dudes for Kamala Harris.

Here he claims Trump is “scared” of his operation and warns he won’t “quit” going after Trump.

He and his partner, Judge Merchan’s daughter, banked $13 million so far this year as Trump’s trial proceeded in Merchan’s courtroom.

“Yesterday Donald Trump traveled to Chicago to participate in a forum with openly hostile reporters and answered their gotcha questions as regime media melted down over his alleged “racist” comments.

Joe Biden just took questions from the media at the White House for the 1st time since he dropped out of the race. Every reporter stayed on script, only asking about the hostage release and absolutely nothing else.

Then a set up Q at the end when a reporter asked about Trump. Biden gave a wholly dishonest reply and walked off.

It must be so embarrassing to be a corporate reporter—no pride whatsoever.”

  9. Re; 9:25am – Should she not have been in that group because she is not 100% Indian? Does being in that group (because she is indeed part Indian) really mean that she is denying also being part black? (My answer to both of those questions is “no”.)

Re: 10:28am – The report was about her relationship with her mother, who was Indian, so of course it focused on that part of her.

  10. You find what you look for. So let’s look for something that mentions her being black. Oh, look! Here is something from 2019:

~ “Harris had been San Francisco’s high-profile district attorney for more than six years, but Deepak Puri and Shareen Punian had only recently learned that Harris was, as Punian said, “one of our peeps,” a woman whose mother was an Indian immigrant.

They had always assumed Harris was African American, and so did most of the 60 or 70 Indian American community leaders at the event, many of whom asked Puri and Punian why they had been invited. [. . .]

Harris’s background in many ways embodies the culturally fluid, racially blended society that is second-nature in California’s Bay Area and is increasingly common across the United States.

She calls herself simply “an American,” and said she has been fully comfortable with her identity from an early age. She credits that largely to a Hindu immigrant single mom who adopted black culture and immersed her daughters in it. Harris grew up embracing her Indian culture, but living a proudly African American life. [. . .]

“My mother understood very well that she was raising two black daughters,” Harris writes in her recently published autobiography, “The Truths We Hold”. “She knew that her adopted homeland would see Maya and me as black girls, and she was determined to make sure we would grow into confident, proud black women.”

She brought her daughters home to India for visits, she cooked Indian food for them, and the girls often wore Indian jewelry. But Harris worshiped at an African American church, went to a preschool with posters of Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman on the wall, attended civil rights marches in a stroller, and was bused with other black kids to an elementary school in a wealthier white neighborhood. When it was time for college, she moved across the country to Washington to attend the historically black Howard University.

“Her Indian culture, she held on to that,” said Sharon McGaffie, 67, an African American woman who has known Harris and her sister, Maya, since they were toddlers living in Berkeley, Calif. “But I think they grew up as black children who are now black women. There’s no question about it.” [. . .]

Her lack of public focus on her heritage has left many people, even in her home state, unaware of her multiracial background. Most people assume she is African American, and even some friends didn’t know that she was also Indian.” [. . .]

I’m so glad she has discovered her Indian-ness,” Narasimhan said with a laugh. “It’s sudden, but I absolutely love that it’s happening. It’s not something she has exhibited over the years.” ~

  11. It’s a huge political stumble and practical mistake that’s being made on the right (with Trump also not able to let go of it, apparently) — hammering the campaign messaging about … race.

Oh, it does work; just not in the way the Trump campaign thinks it will.

  12. Sure Dj,

Because her being a flip flopper on how she identifies depending on the audience shouldn’t be relevant, right?

    Except it is.

Also, you and Kizzie keep bringing it back to race. You two haven’t addressed any of the criticisms I’ve posted about what a horrible AG, Senator, or VP she was. Or her rabidly pro abortion position, or her pro illegal invaders stand. Or her up until recently antiIsrael stands. Yet another issue shes flip flopped on. There are numerous criticisms of her policy positions that I’ve also focused on.

How about how the press is rewriting her history thru falsehoods, lies, and hiding of video evidence? No comment on that?

Do either of you care to address those, or just the DEI race stuff?

You call it a losing argument yet you seem intent on only focusing on that.

  13. For a party that constantly criticises “identity politics”, the Republicans have gone all in on Harris’s identity. Is she black, is she Indian? She spent her 6 years in Montreal – she must be Canadian.

She likes Gandhi so no Tupac? Why not both? I’d think you can collards and greens even if you’re not black? Lots of stereotypes flung around for a party that doesn’t like identity politics. Honestly AJ — I read conservative pages and they keep pushing this story.

Accusing Harris of a “word salad” is probably not a road Trump supporters should go down. Nor should they discuss any type of rankings – Trump ranks as the worst president ever.

Not sure why Trump’s press interview is being compared to Biden’s. He’s running against Harris after all. They weren’t gotcha questions – they were legitimate questions about statements he made. And he made it worse – and again why the identity politics in his answers?

I was surprised he did the interview – he was the first Republican since Bush to be interviewed by this group. The Republican party has made minor gains in the black male vote but they may have thrown it away. Someone in the Trump camp should’ve told him not to bother but I think the “leadership principle” has been firmly established and no one dared tell the emperor he had no clothes. Obviously somebody in his camp finally saw where things were going and pulled the plug early

Apparently a Musk related PAC claims to be registering voters in swing states. But once someone clicks into a website, they are asked for private unnecessary information but never actually registered to vote. Imagine Trump supporters showing up to a Penn voting booth only to find they aren’t registered. Claims of fraud and voting irregularities while Trump loses because a conservative PAC was more interested in information not voting.

That’s just normal stuff that people do. If you’re talking to baseball fans, you don’t talk football, you talk baseball. If you’re half Polish and half Italian, you talk about Polish stuff with fellow Polish people and Italian stuff with fellow Italian people. It’s called connecting with your audience.

Responding to your posts is bringing it back to race?! No, it is merely responding to your posts. If you weren’t sharing post after post after post trying to make that point, I would not have chimed in.

As for other issues, I do not feel obliged to have to comment on every matter. For the record, I am not a Harris supporter, and I know that she has taken quite liberal stances.

As for the “reminder” that Harris’ mother is Indian (re: 2:27pm), here is another quote from the piece I shared:

~ “Her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, was keenly attracted to the civil rights movement and the African American culture of her new home in the 1960s and ’70s. At first, she marched and protested with her black husband, then alone or with the girls after they divorced when Harris was very young.” ~

One of those was about that question I brought up the other day, with the guy insisting that it meant that Trump was declaring that he would be a dictator. 18. I’m also not a Harris supporter, but it certainly seems she’s struck a very sensitive nerve here over the past few days. Biden was an easier opponent.

And, yes, as I mentioned here yesterday, these prisoner swaps come with some difficult and uncomfortable counter results. I’m not sure there’s a very good solution to any of that.

On the first several days since the ’24 campaign shakeup:

~ Those who think about politics and history as a profession can’t resist comparing presidential years. “This is 1968 all over again.” “We’re back to the dynamics of ’72.” We do this because we know political history and love it, and because there are always parallels and lessons to be learned.

But it should be said as a reminder: This year isn’t like any previous time.

This is the year of the sudden, historically disastrous debate, the near-assassination of one of the nominees, the sudden removal of the president from his ticket, the sudden elevation of a vice president her own party had judged a liability, and her suddenly pulling even in a suddenly truncated campaign.

We have never had this year. And it continues to astound. …

Kamala Harris just got two excellent weeks in the clear.

Donald Trump’s campaign had to take her down early or at least hit her hard—and didn’t. She has the wind at her back; he’s scattered and stuck on the back of his heels. This week she had a good rally in Atlanta; he went before a hostile National Association of Black Journalists, was taken aback by his first questioner’s accusatory tone, matched her energy, and revealed, if you didn’t know, how cutting and personal the coming months will be.

What is remarkable is how surprised the Trump campaign seems to have been by Ms. Harris. …

  19. Pres. Trump wasn’t actually making a racial point, he was using Harris’ take on her own race to make a different point that progressives continue to miss – Harris will say anything to anyone to get votes. Sure, he could have said it differently, but those with ears to hear knew what he was saying. Harris has a documented history of saying anything to anyone in order to get elected.

Meanwhile, Pres. Trump is once again being misjudged and underestimated by his opponents. Also, he’ll regularly go to face hostile journalists and audiences – can you imagine someone like Kamala having an interview with conservative journalists? And why hasn’t she even had a press conference yet?

Pres. Trump hasn’t thrown anything away, and he isn’t “back on his heels.” The racism stuff doesn’t fly anymore, and he’s exposing Kamala for the phony that she is.

  20. Perceptions are shifting, this election is far from predictable right now.

    https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2024/08/trump-polls-kamala-harris-vance/679333/?utm_campaign=atlantic-daily-newsletter&utm_content=20240802&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=The+Atlantic+Daily

~ Somehow, it was just two weeks ago that Donald Trump headed into the Republican National Convention looking like a juggernaut. That all feels like a long time ago. As his campaign enters its final three months, Trump looks like a man off balance. His polling lead has evaporated, his campaign strategy is obsolete …

… Early last month, everything was going Trump’s way. He had led the presidential race against the incumbent, Joe Biden, since fall 2023, and the polls were only getting better for him after Biden’s disastrous performance in the June 27 debate. As good as the national polls looked, the swing-state surveys were even better. Trump had been an underdog in each of his first two campaigns, and had won the first and lost the second. In the third, he was poised to lead wire to wire. … The Trump team was dreaming of a landslide. …

… In her first 10 days as the party’s standard-bearer, Harris has improved nearly every indicator for Democrats. She leads some national polls and has erased or closed the gap with Trump in swing-state surveys. … A burst of excitement was to be expected when Harris replaced Biden, but she’s managed to sustain it beyond just a blip. The data guru Nate Silver, who had been bullish for months on Trump’s chances, declared yesterday that the election is a toss-up. …

As we’ve all said here recently, polls and projections go up and down — and they’ll continue to do so for the next few months. Then we’ll all just have to see what the voters have to say and accept that verdict in the end.

  25. The pressure was obviously on even though the WH says they had no knowledge of this. How does that happen…?

WASHINGTON (AP) — Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Friday overrode a plea agreement reached earlier this week for the accused mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and two other defendants, reinstating them as death-penalty cases.

The move comes two days after the military commission at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, announced that the official appointed to oversee the war court, retired Brig. Gen. Susan Escallier, had approved plea deals with Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and two accused accomplices, Walid bin Attash and Mustafa al-Hawsawi, in the attacks.

Letters sent to families of the nearly 3,000 people killed in the al-Qaida attacks said the plea agreement stipulated the three would serve life sentences at most.

Austin wrote in an order released Friday night that “in light of the significance of the decision,” he had decided that the authority to make a decision on accepting the plea agreements was his. He nullified Escallier’s approval.

Some families of the attack’s victims condemned the deal for cutting off any possibility of full trials and possible death penalties. Republicans were quick to fault the Biden administration for the deal, although the White House said after it was announced it had no knowledge of it.

  26. If you don’t give the death penalty for those who murdered 3,000 plus hundreds more who died from the dust, who can you give it too. That the president wasn’t informed or the legislators either, or the victim’s families is strange. Hmmm.
