Second!?! Hope your hectic morning blossomed into a relaxing afternoon Aj!!
I told husband I wanted a day out…alone for Mother’s Day. I spent the day in Elizabeth and had fun chatting with friends and finding a few treasures!
I had a surprise text from a daughter who I believed I wouldn’t hear from again…she is coming over for brunch after church. I told her I thought perhaps her own children would want her with them but she said she would rather be with me on Mother’s Day. We shall see how this goes…her daughter graduated and was pinned with a Bachelors of Nursing yesterday and she even sent me a photo of the two of them together…praying the Lord will bless our time together tomorrow. Trusting the Lord through it all….
We have been to ER and Bro is being admitted. Continuing l9ng days and nights. A friend was going to give me a day and night get away to home while she stayed with Bto for Mother’s Day. Things were going south and we had to cancel that plan. She was so sweet. She did come by rehab and then the hospital bringing a dozen red roses for me. Art also got me flowers and a card which
Catching up for Mother’s Day! Wow Aj…gift giving may be your love language but I guarantee Cheryl notices your endearment and consideration of your precious wife right along with it…you two are so sweet together!!
And I pray everyone experienced a sweet day yesterday, whether it was gifts, notes of appreciation or just sweet memories of childhood or childrearing!
Janice you have literally stood in the gap for your brother and that was sweet of your friend and Art! May you sense the deep appreciation of where you are standing now and the Lord’s purposes in this season. Praying for you and your brother always.
I appreciate all those prayers of intercession concerning our daughter. Yesterday had to have been hands down the best Mother’s Day I have experienced in fifty years of being a Mom. Two of my daughters here sharing lunch and fellowship. The Lord had His purposes for such a time as this. Daughter felt peace in our home and she shared with me some changes in her life which were unknown to us. Concerning her husband and her children. I was blessed to share with her encouragement and support and we both sensed the Lord’s presence as we chatted.
Other daughter sat down with us later that evening and shared some struggles she is having. We were blessed to reiterate to her that we are here for her always. We shared with her how the Lord is our strength and how He led us through struggles on the journey with much grace and mercy…that was shown to her yesterday. Our prayer is that she will be drawn to Him finding true freedom and peace in His sacrifice for her. How blessed am I to have been a participant in what the Lord had planned yesterday and I thank you who have prayed…it means so much to me….
Sorry, hectic morning….

this has been a rather scary week health wise but God is good

I made the pickled eggs on Thurs, a favorite of Cheryl’s.
Yesterday I made a lemon cake with lemon icing for her.
Today it’s lemon chicken and mashed taters, with the eggs and cake.
Plus we went to Ross after church and bought her some very pretty new dresses. And she got her bead supply presents.
In case you can’t tell, giving gifts is my love language.
