¹Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
2 For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
It is the beginning of the farming/rainy season in The Gambia. I received a prayer update from one of the team there and they said that there is a severe drought – the crops are shriveling in the field. Last year, there was too much rain, and much of the crop rotted. Two years of a bad harvest will cause famine conditions in such a poor country.
Here in Connecticut, as I watch the rain pour down, knowing there are flash flood warnings for our area (we’re okay, though), I pray for rain for California & the Gambia – physical, refreshing rain, & the spiritual rain of the Holy Spirit. (And wet Connecticut could sure use the rain of the Holy Spirit, too.)
Fire down in the canyon just east of us. It flared up this morning so there is a lot of smoke. The boys went over last night to offer to help but were turned down. Wisdom and safety for fire fighters.
I tried again, Michelle, it says I already exist but I can’t get a new password because I don’t exist. Fortunately, I am not a citizen of this place and God knows my name.
Tim had his MRI today. Results in a week or so. The doctor said it should come back fine, but we’re glad for the double check and that he finally got an appointment.
Oh, and I have an interview at the Bible camp on Friday morning for the office administration position. Please pray for wisdom and God’s leading.

It does not like me. I thought Chas’s suggestion worth signing up for but it claimed to not know me. I will just have to say I am praying.

Tim’s friend’s wife passed away yesterday morning. His name is Randy and they have several children in their early twenties.
