Prayer Requests 2-21-14

Anyone have a request or praise to share?

Psalm 29

¹Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.

The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.

The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.

10 The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.

11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.

  1. I learned today that they can’t find the part that my van needs and it isn’t driveable. prayers for wisdom appreciated. As a single, I can’t go out in the evening without something to drive and I plan to be here for another five years. There is a singles van that I can rent, as I did today, for going to market, etc.

  3. Heavenly Father,

We look up to You for You are the restorer, sustainer, and hope for a good future. You are ultimate love, the kind that knows no height or depth or conditions we are not able to meet because Jesus has met them for us. Help us to show daily gratefulness for what our Friend and Savior did by dying in our place so we can know abundant life.

Today, Lord, I lift up for Your comforting Brooke who lost her dad on Christmas Day. Also, Donna’s friend who lost her beloved mom and teammate. Help others who go through the bleakness of winter with a compounded sense of loss during what is routinely a down season for many. Bring Your comforting light and colors of spring into these lives. Lift their spirits as they consider the joys of heaven.

I ask, Father God, that Annms’s sister’s family be given divine help with the adoption of the boys from Rwanda and the Congo. If it is Your will please remove all obstacles and make for unusual ease in processing paperwork and finalizing all requirements. Please give these boys a better life. Save them for Your good purposes.

Lord, I lift up Karen O and her family to You. Their needs are numerous at this time. Please make for an easy move by their tenants, and provision for the pets. Please help Lee to get the help he needs at a reasonable price or barter for services, please help Forrest in his needs for parents who can at least in front of him get along, bless Em &Kris with Christian peer group friends who lead them to see Your light and bless Karen O as she seeks to be Your glue holding it all together. Be glorified, Lord, through her efforts! I pray in Jesus’ name,
    Amen

  4. Heavenly Father,

I paused for a moment, giving Your ear a break!

You are the Creator of water. You put the atoms and molecules together in that special design. We recognize Your sovereignty over Creation and know You are the only One we can rightfully look to for a release of raindrops over the state of California. Please, Lord, listen to the prayers of many pouring up to You for Your release of gentle rains to replenish the empty lakes, streams and reservoirs in CA. Please let Your greatness be shown to the unbelievers in CA. As rain pours in may the Spirit pour into previosly shriveled hearts that thoughtof carnal desires over Godly desires. Give renewal and restoration to the beautiful state of CA. I pray in Jesus’name, Amen

  5. Heavenly Father,

I lift up my sister in Christ, Donna, who struggles at times with ominous feelings and dark clouds that won’t rain or budge from casting shadows over her life. Please give her a ray of sunshine directed upon her path so she knows You are there with her. You have done this for me at times and it is such encouragement. Please let her.have evidence of Your love for her today. Give her a lifting of her spirit so she soars above the shadows cast by clouds. Help her to delight as she looks with You from Your throne room upon the world. She has a view from the top when she keeps her eyes on You and follows Your leading. Thank You dear Abba for caring for sister Donna in Your mighty way. In Jesus, Amen

  6. Heavenly Father,

I am not sure what hppened to my last prayer for 6 Arrows family to recover from illness, but You got it. Also my prayer for the German homeschool family to have their case heard by the Supreme Court. Please, Lord. May You hear the cries of many hoping to see this family to be given refuge from religious persecution. Also, I pray for my own continuing recouperation. It has been slow. Thanks that it has not been worse. Please help Mumsee to recouperate, too. And give relief from pain to AJ so he can thoroughly enjoy a new kitten. Thanks, for allowing me to have the attention of Your ear and heart. You have made me to care about what You care about in this world. May You be pleased to act quickly upon my requests. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  7. P. S. Abba, I did post about Jo’s need for transportation. Hope You will release Your supply to meet her need even if my first request got lost in transmission. Please, it does not have to be a Humvee, but whatever You have in mind I ask for speedy delivery. In Jesus’name, Amen

  8. Thank you all for the prayers. 6 Arrows, lots of bad colds and/or flu going around our office this week, the winter sick season won’t be over until the end of March according to all the health officials out here.

The flu is waning a bit overall, but we had a flu-related death recently in one of our local hospitals of a pregnant woman and her unborn child.

Prayers that you also will begin to get better soon.

  9. Oh, and a praise — my disabled friend who had emergency surgery Sunday for a strangulated intestine is finally feeling better and may be going home from the hospital today. She was pretty wiped out for the first few days after surgery but when I called her yesterday she sounded like herself again, said she was finally eating solid foods.

Her boyfriend also was hospitalized last week and may be going to a convalescent facility at least for a while.

  11. For anyone who knew I was trying to go to a conference in LA in a couple of weeks, I decided to cancel since this illness has me down for so long. Yesterday was my first time out in a week. I think it will take a while to get back to what is at my best not a very high energy level.
