I would prefer to stay in today but have a package that needs to be sent out. I am so glad we do not have to travel by a one-horse open sleigh, jingle bells or not. Good morning to all.
Good morning, Wanderers. A cold front blew in yesterday. In amazement this morning, I discovered the leaves that had blown into the carport had been blown out. Thanking God for His overnight gift! It is the little things.
Morning all. It is warmish but we are socked in with clouds. Coloradans get a wee bit cranky when the sun isn’t shining!
I have so much on my plate to get accomplished I am overwhelmed. And my plate isn’t near as full as others! My tendency is to shut down. But these things must be tended to so off I go…
I did call the men’s suit shoppe where husband purchased a suit last Friday. The pants needed a simple hem and we hadn’t heard back so I called. After being on hold for an eternity they said they couldn’t find it! They have the jacket and the pants…how do you lose a suit??!
Smoking bacon? Oh my word the smell must be divine!
Rk my granddaughter is finishing up her last semester of nursing school at Colorado Christian and she wants to work in the ER. She is interning there now plus she works at a pediatric clinic. She loves both but the ER truly has captured her attention. Ya’ll are so gifted to minister to those needing emergency care…but you have to be exhausted when you get home!
They found the suit and we picked it up before they could lose it again! A trip into town and we stopped by the Olive Tap so I could purchase the infused olive oil I give as gifts along with pasta for Christmas. Then we stopped in at Chick Fil A …wow they were busy…and so efficient!
I had lunch today with a good friend so that helped.
Now on to planning for the Christmas season – we can now go and pack hampers at church next week since we won’t need to be here with Koot. Our church works with the social workers in several schools. They let us know how many hampers are needed and we get to fill them. Our church also runs a type of food bank where the social workers will come and get hampers for families of students in need throughout the school year.
I was thinking about y’all in the night, Kare. I am glad you have that special thing to do.
Infused olive oil sounds really good, NJ! A great gift, both practical and an indulgence one would not buy for oneself.
It does take very special people to work emergency situations. I am thankful for all the First Responders and those who assist in that area. They never know what they will get. It is not like working in a cardiac unit, for example, where things can get crazy, but they know more what to expect.
So thankful the Lord gave you ministry to keep your hands and heart busy Kare. And the listening ear of a dear friends works wonders for comforting the aching heart! Still praying for you during these raw days friend!
Jo that’s a lot of apple boxes! Hoping you find sweet rest tonight!

A long day. Five deaconesses wrapped almost 80 apple boxes that we will fill with food next week to give out to 30 families. I’m tired.
It was 66 at the church and 47 down here. That’s the difference in 1000 feet of altitude.
