Good morning. I am sorry to hear the deer destroyed those plants, NJ. I am admiring my cedar bush lately and dreading when the deer come again, deciding it is too tasty a morsel to leave alone.
Morning! We had a nice rain last night. A deer was roaming through and I believe she got a whiff of the spray but she lingered a bit too long. I went and and told her to “git”!! She bounced herself right over to the neighboring property…
I’m off to have breakfast with a long time dear friend. It’s a cool humid day and we might just sit outside at the local eatery. A good day to have coffee outside!
Now I need to look up a cedar bush…is it a flowering type bush? Sounds intriguing to me…cedar should repel some critters yes?
Have a blessed Thursday ya’ll. Chas came up in our conversation this morning over coffee with husband. We were reminiscing about how he loved his bride and wanted to care for her until her last breath…what a testament to long lasting devoted love for your spouse…he was a special kind of special! Thankful we all were blessed to “know” him…and some even met him!
Good late morning! I went to the market this morn8ng. It is funny that the purple swwet potatoes (Stokes brand) that I love are all now giants at this market. When I went to Sprouts they only had tiny ones. Nothing in between to satisfy Goldilocks.
Having to prepare the giant potato for frying meant cutting it into sections and dealing with one piece at a time. I felt God was showing me that I can do all these big projects before me in that manner. That thought made me happy to have the giant potatoes.
We have a tall cedar tree I planted when son was young. I put it near a telephone pole to block my view of the pole from my kitchen window. It is that tall and serving its purpose.
You’ve heard of cedar chests and smelled that lovely fragrance?

One step at a time can be a good thing.
Cedar is an evergreen. It is similar, perhaps to a juniper. There are very tall ones, but this one is perhaps 6 ft. high.

What a perfect day to go to the fair with a friend. 82 degrees and no crowds. Felt like going to the fair 30 years ago. So peaceful and special.
