We are looking forward one our daughter’s family coming for the weekend. Actually, they will spend all tomorrow with our SIL’s family, too. I have to go grocery shopping. Three teen boys and their sister eat a lot!
Have a blessed and peaceful weekend of rest and healing.
Last night I went to an event for ladies at First Baptist of Atlanta where the Pink Bus Tour of Concerned Women For America stopped and presented a program. We got to hear from some young lady athletes who have had to compete against biological males in sports. So glad these brave young ladies are speaking out. Also heard from a young lady whose mom was told by several docs to abort her. Her mom spoke passionately against abortion.
I had received an invite that I shared with my friend and she shared with others so we had a whole table full of ladies. We had Chick-fil-A box meals, the same thing I had a couple of weeks ago at the Prison ministry luncheon. As you can tell, Chick-fil-A is the go-to place in Atlanta.
It’s 92° but feels nice out with a breeze. This has to be the breeziest summer ever. Delightful. Somehow I am rem8nded of the Holy Spirit when I feel a gentle breeze and especially if I hear its in a group of big trees.
We’re having a warm day here, but finally getting a cool breeze off the ocean.
Made some progress with Abby getting in the car last night, trainer had me doing a quick-step walkup with Abby to the wide open door and, for some reason, she was jumping right in and onto the seat. If I paused or stopped, so did she, turning right around and trying to yank away again.
So: Don’t stop.
So I just have to prep the car ahead of time by opening and leaving the door wide open, then getting Abby leashed up (treats handy, trainer brought tiny meatballs last night); then bring her out for the fast walkup to the open door, up and in, done. Sort of like a dance — or an Olympics trial.
Surgery went well. Relatively quick as well. Thanks for praying.

Morning! Aj thankful for that good report!!!
Smoky around here. South of us saw rain and hail last night. We didn’t get a spit! Hoping we see some tonight without the lightening!
Kathaleena that sounds like fun! I love feeding grandchildren!!😊
Janice Chick Fil A is a huge hit around here. Very consistent service and food…and they hire the sweetest kids!

I hope a corner has been turned.
