Prayer Requests 1-25-23

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia.

Anyone else have something to share?

Psalm 13

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?

Look on me and answer, Lord my God.
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,
and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,”
and my foes will rejoice when I fall.

But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me.

  1. Remembering you in prayer, Mumsee and Mike, and Dad, Grandpa, and A. What a blessing you have been for those just starting out in life, and now for those who are in the home stretch. May God grant you strength and wisdom, and allow you to see fruit in your watering.

Also praying for Janice and AJ for strength and good results in your treatments.

And for DJ, that doors will open and information come through as needed so that the remainder of the work week is less stressful than the beginning.

  2. One of Boy’s great-grandmothers has died. She was a devout Catholic, but I am praying that somehow the gospel will trickle through (or even break right on into) the eulogy by the priest in some way that will get through to her family – X and his parents (mom and stepfather, and dad and stepmother) in particular.

  3. Step mom in law and her daughter tested positive for covid again. Maybe running all over the state every day after chemo treatment is not such a great idea. But they are rather proud of it and their good health.

  4. Seems like grandpa may be entering the end. His appetite is about gone, his oxygen drops anytime he takes the tube away, he sleeps most of the time. But it may just be temporary. Seems like it has gone on longer than other times.

Daughter had son in law served with divorce papers. He is heartbroken of course. Making his future plans without her. Wisdom on that for him as he is turning to God and wanting to keep Him center.
