Prayer Requests 11-2-22

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia.

Anyone else have something to share?

Psalm 101

Of David. A psalm.

I will sing of your love and justice;
    to you, Lord, I will sing praise.
I will be careful to lead a blameless life—
    when will you come to me?

   I will conduct the affairs of my house
    with a blameless heart.
I will not look with approval
    on anything that is vile.

   I hate what faithless people do;
    I will have no part in it.
The perverse of heart shall be far from me;
    I will have nothing to do with what is evil.

Whoever slanders their neighbor in secret,
    I will put to silence;
   whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart,
    I will not tolerate.

My eyes will be on the faithful in the land,
    that they may dwell with me;
   the one whose walk is blameless
    will minister to me.

No one who practices deceit
    will dwell in my house;
   no one who speaks falsely
    will stand in my presence.

Every morning I will put to silence
    all the wicked in the land;
   I will cut off every evildoer
    from the city of the Lord.

  2. So glad your grandson is finally here, Kare!

    As for my grandson, he is home from school again, and still has a fever.

    X was texting me in the early morning hours (1:57am and 4:43am) to tell me to have Boy call him before or after school. (I slept through the them.) Then he tried calling me this morning, but I did not answer.

    At work, Nightingale got a call from the police informing her that X had tried to call in an Amber Alert.

    I am on alert today for anyone at the door, or if I hear Boy going out the door. (Boy does not think that what his dad did on Sunday was wrong. He doesn’t understand.)

  3. News on J:

    CT scan showed her stomach cancer has not spread to other organs, but is lymph nodes.

    She checks into hospital Monday night to begin induction. The little girl seems fine and J hopes fir a vaginal birth.

    She gets a week to recover from delivery, then They’ll try to save J’s life with every medical treatment they know.

    Thanks.

  4. M sounds like a positive turn perhaps — praying.

    And agree with @2:09, and at least this puts him on the current police radar again, which is good.

  5. Mono?! Oh, man, we haven’t even considered that possibility. Ya never know, though. Not sure when we’ll hear about the strep test. Soon, I would think.

    As for the Amber Alert, from what I just read, it looks like it may only be a chargeable offense if the alert is actually activated. That did not happen.

    The last text X sent me, after I had not replied to his others, was “[Hubby] is rolling in his grave.”

    A little while ago I heard someone pounding on the front door and thought it was him. Nope, just the annoying little boy from next door. 🙂

  6. Reminds me of the Watts riots (we lived in that vicinity) when my dad was working nights and my mom heard several crashes against the back door as she waited up in the wee hours for my dad to get home.

    It was just Nancy the cat, hurling her big self against the door demanding to get in.

    Glad all seems OK there, Kizzie.
