Prayer Requests 9-21-22

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia.

Anyone else have something to share?

Psalm 61

Of David.

Hear my cry, O God;
    listen to my prayer.

From the ends of the earth I call to you,
    I call as my heart grows faint;
    lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For you have been my refuge,
    a strong tower against the foe.

I long to dwell in your tent forever
    and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
For you, God, have heard my vows;
    you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.

Increase the days of the king’s life,
    his years for many generations.
May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever;
    appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.

Then I will ever sing in praise of your name
    and fulfill my vows day after day.

  1. Thank you for praying for my family through the Covid siege. I think we’re all fine now, just trying to catch up on the things neglected when we were sick.

  2. My blood pressure was good and the cardiologist was not overly concerned with my EKG. A couple “minor” blips on the chart but nothing alarming. He was concerned about my symptoms and continued soreness in certain areas in my upper left chest. So….I will have a stress test next week and some thing where they hook me up to an IV and shoot dye into my heart…yikes! He said this is the best way for him to see what’s going on and whether or not it is actually the heart. Then another blood draw for cholesterol status along with the blood draw for high number concerning kidney function. It seems both of my doctors are wanting to check off boxes as to what is causing all of this. 😊. It’s all good and thank you for those who have covered me in prayer…..

  3. No sleep apnea. I just continue to have pain in my left breast area and it does get worse with exertion. With my family history the cardiologist wants to thoroughly check out my heart. Dad died of congestive heart failure, Mom has AFib, and my little sister is dealing with an issue with her heart. I am so thankful my doctors want to dig deeper all the while asking the Lord to bring healing as unto His will in my life. 😊

  4. Nancy Jill, is it pain underneath the left breast? My mom (who had some nursing training) told me decades ago that that is from anemia, and when I have had that symptom I have taken iron and it has worked. Might be worth a try. If you want to chew on ice cubes, that is definitely anemia! (Why the connection between wanting to eat ice and anemia, I have no idea, but it is definitely real.)

  5. Thanks Cheryl. The pain actually begins at the top and travels around to the left and underneath. Today when the doctor pressed down at the top with his stethoscope he asked if that hurt. It did and has hurt ever since. I have been upstairs with a heating pad this afternoon.
    I don’t have the urge to chew ice but have been very thirsty.
    The whole nuclear radiation dye stuff they will be coursing through my veins and heart is a bit intimidating but I am sure they know what they are doing…right? 🙃 (some of the disclaimers on the consent forms are interesting….this could cause cancer….your heart could stop….)
