It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.
Anyone else?
Psalm 63
1 You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.
2 I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
3 Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
4 I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
6 On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.
7 Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.
8 I cling to you;
your right hand upholds me.
9 Those who want to kill me will be destroyed;
they will go down to the depths of the earth.
10 They will be given over to the sword
and become food for jackals.
11 But the king will rejoice in God;
all who swear by God will glory in him,
while the mouths of liars will be silenced.
Praying for Jo and all, as real has said. Thanking God for prayer.

Please pray for my sis-in-law. She has bladder cancer and is undergoing chemo right now. Her husband has early onset Alzheimers and has been moved into care since she is too ill to care for him right now. He was taken to hospital yesterday for weird symptoms and she is frantic with worry and unable to visit him as she feels so sick. We are thankful for his children that are spending time with him and for sil’s children for helping care for her during this time.

Heavenly Father,
Oh! The struggles Your children go through here on this fallen earth . . . how do any of us survive through such ordeals?
Please hear our prayers for Kare’s sister-in-law and her family. Thank You for not leaving her alone at this fragile time. Please help resolve her husband’s problem quickly so sis can concentrate her concern and prayer on her own healing. May the stress of this all not affect her treatments in a negative way. Please, Father God, move them rapidly to a more favorable plateau in their lives so they do not feel themselves sinking lower and lower in the valley. Please be their ever abiding firm foundation that can not be shaken.
Thank You for giving us beautiful spring days either today in the South or later in Northern locales. Spring reminds of our hope in better things to come in the future no matter what troubles stand as obstacles in our temporary earthly reality. You are great and mighty to save. We wait on You and Your best plans to be worked out. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Please pray for my “ex-wife-in-law”, K. K is BG’s stepmother if that makes it more clear.
As you know she went through chemo for breast cancer last Fall/Winter. She is clear and got to “ring the bell”, but the chemo and the hormone blockers they have her on has caused some issues with bone density and they gave her some sort of infusion. It wiped her out and she has been exhausted and had difficulty breathing.
Yesterday they had an appointment with the oncologist who thought she may have a blood clot and sent her to the ER. They ran all sorts of tests and the ER Dr wanted her to see a cardiologist. He talked her into letting him admit her last night so she could see one today.
I haven’t heard and update today. I did send G a text this morning telling him I was praying and hoping that all would go well today.
As you know, G isn’t the easiest person on earth to live with and K handles him better than anyone. We like her and want to keep her.

Kim, praying for her.
Update on BIL – he is doing better and back at the care home. SIL has called, but he doesn’t always pick up.

Praying, all.
Pray also for both my neighbors:
* Neighbor 1: wife, S, had a stroke about a year ago and is having medical care challenges, including just getting a GP she doesn’t much care for and who just isn’t very encouraging. She needs encouragement. She needed both knees replaced before the stroke, but was always too skittish to get that done; now she’s lamenting that, of course, and they’re not encouraging about the prospects for having at least one knee done down the line. She said she feels like her life is over, she’ll be stuck in a wheelchair. She’s been very active, raised two boys, has been a DIY helper to her electrician husband for all the house and outdoor projects.
* Neighbor 2: L’s safety in the circumstances surrounding her adult son who’s become very violent and is on drugs. No updates there in the last 24+ hours, he hasn’t been back since being arrested late Tuesday night, but he’s not expected to be held long. He lives in the garage and police said they can’t force him to leave “his home.” It’s a case where everyone’s hands seem to be tied for various legal and logistical reasons. But L is fearful for her safety — and she’s not exaggerating that fear, in my opinion.
