Prayer Requests 12-17-21

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Anyone else?

Psalm 129

A song of ascents.

“They have greatly oppressed me from my youth,”
    let Israel say;
“they have greatly oppressed me from my youth,
    but they have not gained the victory over me.
Plowmen have plowed my back
    and made their furrows long.
But the Lord is righteous;
    he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked.”

May all who hate Zion
    be turned back in shame.
May they be like grass on the roof,
    which withers before it can grow;
a reaper cannot fill his hands with it,
    nor one who gathers fill his arms.
May those who pass by not say to them,
    “The blessing of the Lord be on you;
    we bless you in the name of the Lord.”

  1. Two Prayer Requests:
    In March I sold a townhouse to Wendy and a regular house to Destiny. Both are needing to sell.
    Wendy: Wendy contacted me about a month ago. The HOA is in financial trouble and has not made all the repairs from Hurricane Sally (September 2020) they promised and have issued a special assessment and raised the dues. She wants out and called me to list it. During all of this she has lost the hearing in one ear nod the doctor doesn’t know why. That’s the prayer request. She is having an MRI today to check for a brain tumor.

    Destiny- You’ve prayed for them before. They sold their new home in P’cola to move to Alabama because they were fostering a baby and had the opportunity to adopt. She was also sit to have another baby in April so she has two little ones 6 or 7 months apart.
    The adoption is coming through and they will sign the final documents by the end of February. I will be listing the house here next week.

  2. Thank you mumsee.

    Praying for all, this seems to be a difficult holiday season for many.

    Also praying this new variant will somehow fade fast and cause the least possible illness, death and cultural damage. Praying for our hospitals and medical personnel who are already overwhelmed in some areas and are now bracing for more of the same.

    (Even if this version does prove to be “mild” in its symptoms — though the jury is still out on that — its ability to spread so quickly and be resistant to both vaccines and natural immunities will, just in the sheer numbers, wind up possibly causing serious illness in more folks who are most vulnerable.)

    Lord, hear our prayer.

  3. Lots of emails going back and forth among my siblings and me today, about Mom & Dad. I’ll skip details; God knows.

    There are some challenging situations I recently was told about in three different piano students’ families: death of a grandparent who had lived with the family for more than a decade; dad with a medical problem that started this summer that is lingering and being treated with meds that are causing scary side-effects, the six-year-old shared with me; and a sudden medical crisis with a sibling, resulting in hospitalization and surgery the day after the girls’ parents had left for a vacation to Mexico. (Parents turned around and came back, and she’s out of the hospital and back in school now, but is still tired and weak from loss of blood. Hemoglobin had gone down to 7.)

    Thank you for praying.
