It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.
Anyone else?
Psalm 116
1 I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;
he heard my cry for mercy.
2 Because he turned his ear to me,
I will call on him as long as I live.
3 The cords of death entangled me,
the anguish of the grave came over me;
I was overcome by distress and sorrow.
4 Then I called on the name of the Lord:
“Lord, save me!”
5 The Lord is gracious and righteous;
our God is full of compassion.
6 The Lord protects the unwary;
when I was brought low, he saved me.
7 Return to your rest, my soul,
for the Lord has been good to you.
8 For you, Lord, have delivered me from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling,
9 that I may walk before the Lord
in the land of the living.
10 I trusted in the Lord when I said,
“I am greatly afflicted”;
11 in my alarm I said,
“Everyone is a liar.”
12 What shall I return to the Lord
for all his goodness to me?
13 I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call on the name of the Lord.
14 I will fulfill my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his faithful servants.
16 Truly I am your servant, Lord;
I serve you just as my mother did;
you have freed me from my chains.
17 I will sacrifice a thank offering to you
and call on the name of the Lord.
18 I will fulfill my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people,
19 in the courts of the house of the Lord—
in your midst, Jerusalem.
Praise the Lord.
In contrast to the Psalm, I have been immensely blessed.
And I thank God every day about how Chuck and his offspring have sought the Lord and raised families to follow Him.
Again. I have been blessed beond measure.

I have been immensely blessed as well.
The verse about the death of the saints being precious in God’s sight was preached on at the funeral of our friend.
Nice to hear the good news about passing the test. Prayers for Cyrus etc. Kizzie, it is difficult to have patience and yet each of us need to go through things to find our way to the Lord. Praying for the happy resolution one day and your peace. The card is beautiful. My daughter often sends these special cards and I always appreciate them. I hope your daughter will, as well, and have it displayed as a special reminder of your love for her.

Praise the Lord, indeed! I too have been blessed beyond measure.
Kizzie, what Kathaleena said. God uses our children to make us more like Him.

I am counted among the blessed most definitely. I do feel a bit unsettled with the move that will soon take place meaning that we will have our brains turned to the east rather than to the west. Change is difficult even when it is good and for growth. We so easily get set in our ways. It is always a struggle to trust in God for everything.

Or this referring to an adjustment you’ll have to Wesley’s new appointment in Charleston?

Just the adjustment to his move meaning we will be traveling east rather than west, etc. For awhile we have been doing tax conferences in Dallas. No more of those adventures.
