It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.
Anyone else?
Psalm 50
A psalm of Asaph.
1 The Mighty One, God, the Lord,
speaks and summons the earth
from the rising of the sun to where it sets.
2 From Zion, perfect in beauty,
God shines forth.
3 Our God comes
and will not be silent;
a fire devours before him,
and around him a tempest rages.
4 He summons the heavens above,
and the earth, that he may judge his people:
5 “Gather to me this consecrated people,
who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
6 And the heavens proclaim his righteousness,
for he is a God of justice.
7 “Listen, my people, and I will speak;
I will testify against you, Israel:
I am God, your God.
8 I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices
or concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.
9 I have no need of a bull from your stall
or of goats from your pens,
10 for every animal of the forest is mine,
and the cattle on a thousand hills.
11 I know every bird in the mountains,
and the insects in the fields are mine.
12 If I were hungry I would not tell you,
for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls
or drink the blood of goats?
14 “Sacrifice thank offerings to God,
fulfill your vows to the Most High,
15 and call on me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
16 But to the wicked person, God says:
“What right have you to recite my laws
or take my covenant on your lips?
17 You hate my instruction
and cast my words behind you.
18 When you see a thief, you join with him;
you throw in your lot with adulterers.
19 You use your mouth for evil
and harness your tongue to deceit.
20 You sit and testify against your brother
and slander your own mother’s son.
21 When you did these things and I kept silent,
you thought I was exactly like you.
But I now arraign you
and set my accusations before you.
22 “Consider this, you who forget God,
or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you:
23 Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me,
and to the blameless I will show my salvation.”
Prayer for daughter and son in law as they continue to seek and try out babysitters. They have a couple more they are trying out this week. Husband and daughter will be there if needed but it would be nice to get the family back together again.

Vertigo.
First round of exercises done with some relief but this is miserable.
At least, however, it’s not the flu or COVID.

Scared mom prayer request.
FEMA is requesting EMT strike forces out of LA to fly to Florida, pick up rigs and drive to NYC.
“It’s a rapidly unfolding situation changing by the day.”

I would be afraid of new York also. Praying a wall of protection around your EMT, peace for your heart, and that she would reflect Jesus to everyone she encounters.

The Commander’s reaction: “Each generation is given their own opportunity to shine. This is hers. She’s trained to do this and one of the few people the company can count on to run the strike force and not get flustered.”
He later admitted he didn’t like it either . . .

God knows what He is doing, said while understanding your concern. Praying.

Although I am sharing this prayer request as we are in the beginning of several months of Boy being out of school, it is one I have been thinking about sharing even before this coronavirus crisis came along.
Please pray that the next couple or few months will bring a leap in maturity to Boy. God knows what I mean, and what is all wrapped up in that request.

Praying for your mother-heart, Michelle.
Praise report that my adult daughters’ employment situations look better than they did a couple of days ago. 3rd and 4th Arrows’ jobs made it to the list of “essential businesses,” which means they’re not out of work. The older works at a pizza take-and-bake place, the younger, as I mentioned a few weeks ago, at Culver’s. Drive-through and food delivery from places like that are still allowed; only eating-in is prohibited. 4th Arrow is getting a lot fewer hours because they obviously don’t need nearly as many workers for drive-through service as when the restaurant is open for dining in, but at least she’s getting some work.
2nd Arrow is also working, albeit only about one day a week (she was formerly doing 3 12s), as the vet hospital is keeping one vet and one tech on hand at all times for emergencies.
Thanks for praying for them.
Please pray for the mom (B) of one of my piano students. The state ordered her hair salon to be closed during this time. I haven’t seen her in a couple of weeks, as I’ve been doing phone lessons with my students recently, but, via email, she “sounds” really down and wiped out. Her business closure has hit her hard emotionally, no doubt about that.

Michelle, may all involved use wisdom.
Empathy on the vertigo.

I’ve actually felt great all day since we ran the exercises–though they were tough with nausea. Then, Mr. Done for the Day came into my office to visit. So, I got down on the floor to stretch, laid on my back and it was all over–swirl!
If I sit upright, I’m okay, but obviously, I need to get past this. We’ll try a different exercise after dinner, but I may sleep in the recliner. It’s when I lay down that the room goes mad. 😦
We did go for a walk–he came along as the spotter. 🙂 No problems.

My EMT daughter’s job is, obviously, fine but scary as Michelle and RK know. But son and DIL will be cut back severely.
