Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 89:1-8
1 I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever;
with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known
through all generations.
2 I will declare that your love stands firm forever,
that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.
3 You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one,
I have sworn to David my servant,
4 ‘I will establish your line forever
and make your throne firm through all generations.’
5 The heavens praise your wonders, Lord,
your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones.
6 For who in the skies above can compare with the Lord?
Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings?
7 In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared;
he is more awesome than all who surround him.
8 Who is like you, Lord God Almighty?
You, Lord, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you.
Please pray for me. I’ll write about specifics in a little bit.
My brains not yet fully functioning just yet.

My husband’s sister (sort of estranged, but not quite), just FB messaged me that her husband of only a few years has been diagnosed with early onset dementia (possibly Alzheimer’s). She asked husband and me to pray for them. I was surprised she reached out to us, but so glad that she did.

Okay–so it’s not a “little” later….but, things got hectic.
Thanks for praying for me. Here are the details: I saw my OB/GYN in September for a well-woman exam and he did a lot of bloodwork, b/c I was experiencing a lot of hair loss, dry skin, and some other things. This man, Dr. Young, has been my OB for eighteen+ years and is the husband of my older sister’s lifelong best friend. Anyway–he discovered I had hypothyroidism as well as a very elevated prolactin level. He put me on thyroid med’s and told me to see an endocrinologist. I had an appointment w/ one scheduled the same day my MIL fell and broke her wrist. Obviously, I didn’t make that appointment. Then, life became very hectic and I simply forgot about the elevated prolactin until a few weeks ago when I began lactating. Friday (was that really just yesterday???), I finally saw the endocrinologist. I’d had my September labs faxed to her. From the labs and my symptoms, she diagnosed me as having a prolactinoma (an almost always benign tumor on the pituitary). I have to get more labs done next week and my MRI is scheduled for Thursday. Her office is supposed to call me to schedule a follow-up as soon as they have all the test results. If the tumor is small, usually medication can shrink it enough that it quits causing symptoms. If it’s big, surgery is required. Fortunately, I live close to one of the best medical centers in the USA—and will use a neurosurgeon at MD Anderson (they regularly treat benign pituitary tumors and are considered the best place to have this procedure).
Endocrinologist said these tumors, though benign, must be dealt with b/c they can grow large enough to push on optic nerve and cause permanent blindness as well as a host of other problems.
She also said it may be exacerbating my migraines (they’ve been awful for last three weeks; I awaken around 4:30am w/ severe pain and vomiting almost every day).
Again, thanks for praying.
BTW, Dakota is feeling so much better—and today is first day his stool isn’t obviously bloody. HOORAY!

Ann, that sounds like a lot to process. I’m glad it sounds like you are getting the best possible medical care.

The Boy hasn’t been feeling well the past few days. He went to school on the school days, & had an activity today, but then when he gets home, he is very tired, even napping, which is unlike him. During an early evening nap today, he got a fever.
Nightingale has spiked a fever herself, which is breaking through the Advil & Tylenol she’s been taking (not together, but at different times), but is at work this evening.
Please pray they will both get over this fairly quickly, that Nightingale will have wisdom about whether or not she should take either of them to a doctor, & also please pray that Chickadee & I don’t get this. Thank you.

Kizzie: Just wanted you to know that I prayed for you, your darling grandson and daughter this morning.
You’ve been on my heart and in my prayers since the untimely passing of your beloved husband. Wish I lived closer and could give you a big hug. Here’s a virtual one….

Praise: Dakota slept from 10:00 until 4:30 (I erroneously thought it was 5:30 b/c I forgot to change clocks), so w/ time change–i actually got seven hours of uninterrupted sleep last night! That is the most sleep I’ve had in three weeks. It was AMAZINGLY wonderful!

Praying for you, Ann. And thankful for your good night’s sleep last night!
Kare, prayers for your sister-in-law and her husband.
Kizzie, praying for health for all of you.
Please pray for 4th Arrow. We left church early because she was having bad dizzy spells, numbness, and tingling. Her health issues from the summer of 2016 (whatever they were — multitudes of tests that we’re still paying for never identified anything definitive) lessened somewhat without ever going away, but got much worse today, and has moved to a new area.
Prayers for wisdom as we get on the medical care merry-go-round again. She is adamant she does not want to see any of the previous medical staff she’s dealt with.
