It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.
Anyone else?
Psalm 125
1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds his people
both now and forevermore.
3 The scepter of the wicked will not remain
over the land allotted to the righteous,
for then the righteous might use
their hands to do evil.
4 Lord, do good to those who are good,
to those who are upright in heart.
5 But those who turn to crooked ways
the Lord will banish with the evildoers.
Peace be on Israel.
Our school has major staffing needs for the next school year beginning in July. Things are changing here. The principal is no longer principal as she will be spending her time doing LAD, which is learning assistance. We have someone coming from the states later this month to further test students. The principal has already done the initial testing. Also some students are returning who are very sweet, but need a lot of help. The principal of the high school will be principal of both schools, which has happened before. Mostly the vice principal will take care of things. However he is new, has been here, but not around the school. So it is hard for him to know what he is missing.
We could certainly all use some support and encouragement.

Scott’s having a colonoscopy this morning. It’s just routine –but I’d appreciate prayers that everything goes okay….

🙂 A trivial matter, but the sinus problem I mentioned a couple of days is gone.
What happened is that I went to CVS to get a prescription filled for Elvera. I mentioned sinus to the druggist and he sold me some pills “”CVS Sinus PE + Allergy” Twenty four pills, one every four hours. I took 8 of them and the problem is gone.

Those drug folk know a thing or two.
As for our farmlette, little Tyrone died this morning, the kid fifteen year old was nurturing for the past week. We are praying that the effect will be positive on the boy. He has several potential directions. Not care, probably the worst. Get mad at God and become bitter, not good either. Or realize that death is a part of life, love matters, it is sad and life is precious.

Crying here, too. But then again, I’ve already been crying about stuff today. One of those days.

Mumsee, this was written but a friend on a post about death and suffering. Feel free to use what you like and discard the rest,
While I was talking about pain, a related tough philosophical question is why an all-powerful God would allow evil to exist. The answer is love. Let me explain: In order to be real, love must be voluntary. It can’t be commanded and it can’t be forced. One can give the appearance of love and make the motions of love, but it isn’t real if you don’t choose it. God wants us to love Him and to love our fellow man. But in order to truly love, we must choose it freely, which also means we must have the freedom to choose the alternative, evil and hate. The existence of evil and hate is the price we have to pay for love, but love is so valuable that it is worth that terrible price.

God has a plan to deal with evil
He has already put it into motion.
We are part of fit whether we are aware of it or not.

Scott safely came through the procedure. Doctor removed some polyps and sent them to pathology. He gets results in two weeks. Thanks for the prayers.

K has an appointment with the best surgeon in the city tomorrow! – he is friends with my husband and goes to our church. I am so glad she was booked with him and not any of the other surgeons – God knows. She will likely have surgery next week to remove the mass in her abdomen. Please pray that she won’t be discouraged by her mother who keeps saying “it’s cancer, I know it.” Her family are not believers so I’m glad she has her camp family around to support and pray for her. And that the mass will be easily removed and be benign.
