My mom is about 5’5″ and is down to 114….the thinnest she’s been in 60 years of marriage….She has no appetite and is weak. Please pray for healing. Thanks.
Also, as I disclosed earlier, I’ve struggled with mental illness for many years. I had a wonderful psychiatrist for fourteen years. Unfortunately, two months ago he moved to Arizona. His replacement put me on a med that plunges me into a very black depression. I have an appointment with a new psychiatrist who comes very highly recommended and he’s even on our insurance. Please pray for wisdom on the doctors part and that they’d be able to get me stabilized soon.
VBS starts this morning with 192 children already signed up. They’re so swamped even my husband is teaching a 1st/2nd grade class!
(Amazed that when he looked at his work calendar after being asked; he had nothing on it for the mornings all week, so he said yes.)
Stargazer and I are just doing childcare for the teachers during their 30 minute prayer time before VBS starts. I then go to work. Perhaps he’ll get sucked into a need?
Prayers for safety, that God would be glorified and a special little favor for weather that isn’t overwhelmingly hot. Thanks.
I agree with Michelle, Ann. I have taken anti-depressants in the past and have told me close friends to please say something if they see me acting strangely. I am so glad you recognized that something wasn’t right. You are in my prayers.
Baby Anya update– the little one with the liver transplant. They returned to LA last week after a month in the Stanford area to make sure she was okay.
Then this morning I see this:
“ANYA UPDATE: Anya seemed to be in some discomfort this morning near her surgical incision & she also had a low-grade fever. We took her to the Emergency Room and after doctors looked at her incision and did blood work, it was revealed that a part of her incision was infected. Her blood results showed that her body was fighting an infection so they decided to admit her and give her antibiotics.”
Yesterday I read a post on Facebook that tagged my daughter, thanking her. I didn’t know who the boy was but felt odd about it. I just talked to BG’s boyfriend’s mother. This was the boyfriend’s step-brother. He tried to hang himself last night. The boyfriend went into his room and found him. The 15 year old boy is in ICU. BG was at the house when it happened. I have not heard from her today.
I can’t imagine, being the parents, being the brother that found him, or even being there when something like this happened.
Please pray for this young man and his family and pray that I will know what to say when I talk to my own child.
Oh KIm how awful….prayers for the family and BG as she processes this as well….
Continued prayers for you as well Ann….know that He is watching over you through this valley…you have been on my heart and mind so very much these past weeks…. ❤
So sad about the fifteen year old. I was dating a young man once, who found a man, who had shot himself. His mom had been caring for the man, but for some reason my boyfriend had checked on him that day. It was very sad.
We recently had a woman say she had considered suicide the night before. She shared this during a prayer time at our church! I am not in touch with her and have not seen her since. She mentioned someone had suggested she have her doctor look into her medication dosage. That is a problem for anyone on meds for depression or other mental illnesses.
Prayers for all. Life is sure a challenge since the Garden of Eden!

Karen, I’m on oral medication and am about two months in. It will be at least four months before the cancer had been shrunk enough for surgery.
