the neighbor boy put the last four bags of leaves in my yard waste bin, I couldn’t lift them. He left them in the bags but even rolled it to the curb. I thought they wouldn’t take them still in the bags but they did, hooray
quite the rainy weekend but sunshine today. Supposed to be in the 80 s later in this week
Morning! The winds are howling and it is creating chaos. 95mph wind gust in Cheyenne Canyon, busted power poles, loss of electricity for many. Trucks forced to park and get off the interstate. The pines on our property seem to bend sideways at times…hoping for deep roots!
My first born is 49 years old today! Have mercy! Nj
We had a power outage that lasted a couple hours but everything’s working again. No internet, no lights, amazing how hooked we are to the grid. I kept trying to flip on lights when I go into another room. But at least it happened in daylight, much weirder when it’s at night.
We are scheduled to have a collar put onto our power meter next week. Then we can simply plug it into a generator and have enough power to the house to keep the fridge/freezers, furnace and water pump running (and a light or two). Very much looking forward to being able to do that. Once it’s installed then we need to find a generator…
Spring staff has all arrived and the teachers vote on their contract on Wednesday and Thursday. We are praying they vote yes so our spring school programs can run.
Our bathroom reno has progressed to the point of all fixtures being hooked up. Just the finishing trims to do and their is a lot of that in this bathroom.

I received a nice letter from the SSA. It says, Beginning March 2024, I became entitled to spouse benefits based on my age.
next sentence says, Based on the info they have, they cannot pay benefits beginning March 2024.
We have been working on this since last September.
