  2. The media continues to suck.

“The press just spent 2 days on a 2 second clip of one student making bigoted gestures at Ole Miss and tried to imply those actions represent the entire crowd. it’s already been covered by multiple news outlets, the student’s info is everywhere, & the school is investigating them.

Here we have dozens of likely students chanting for ethnic cleansing at MIT. It’s hardly a solitary incident. We have no major news articles, barely any reporters sharing it, no school investigation, none of the students being identified.

Same story with similar video at Columbia. Dozen+ videos of protestors refusing to allow people to walk to parts of campuses. Other videos of harassment and assaults.

    You see the problem?

It’s becoming obvious that there is an effort to cover for one particular mob by media and institutions ignoring their worst behavior and refusing to enforce the rules against them. They are being held to a different standard and that’s a recipe for complete abandonment of the rules.”

    ——-

Only narrative approved stories from the propagandists. They use one, single bad actor to broadbrush an entire group, all while giving a pass to those calling for genocide. They suck.

  4. From a piece by Nick Cattogio (formerly ‘Allahpundit’) —

    Hooray for ‘The Uniparty’

    Whatever that means.

…. “Uniparty” is mostly demagoguery, as so much of modern Republican politics is. It’s good for fundraising and TV hits and it’s a subtle way to inculcate in populists the sense that there’s something untoward and conspiratorial going on when a bipartisan majority in Congress opposes their policy preferences. It also not very subtly implies that right-wing populists and traditional conservatives aren’t members of the same party in a meaningful sense: The former are Republicans, the latter are “Uniparty.”

Which is fine by me. The sooner conservatives come to see that Marjorie Taylor Greene isn’t their ally, the better off we’ll all be. Hooray for “The Uniparty.”

  5. Are we tired of all this yet?

    WSJ:

Mike Johnson proves he’s a survivor as House speaker.

Despite calls to oust him as House speaker, Mike Johnson seems unlikely to meet the same fate as his predecessor in the post, Kevin McCarthy. There are a number of reasons why Johnson is likely to keep the position, despite opposition from Marjorie Taylor Greene. One such cause is that Republicans have grown weary of the drama.

“Bless her heart. I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about her.”— Mike Johnson, on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a vocal critic of his.

  6. Re: the post at 10:19. How does the article linked in the X-post show that, as Schlichter claims, Bill Kristol is on the side of the “Hamas lovers”? I read the piece, and Kristol is critical of how Biden is handling the anti-Israel protests, among other things. Where in this piece does it look like Kristol “sides with the Hamas lovers”?

“Biden was moved to run for the presidency in 2020 after watching Americans marching through the streets in Charlottesville chanting, “Jews will not replace us.” He must call out the left as he called out the right. While Jewish Americans have appreciated Biden’s defense of Israel, they see equivocation in his response to the protests.”

  7. We watched The Georgia Gang on Sunday where two Democrats and two Republicans discuss politics along with a moderator. At two points we saw something we’ve never seen before. A Democrat and a Republican were siding with each other on an issues against the other Democrat and Republican. It was so unexpected by those watching and themselves. What a refreshing program. Anything can happen these days! Buckle your seat belts!😀

  8. Janice, don’t know what the issue was but that used not be so uncommon — it’s how government got done in our land. There’s a time and place for (reasonable) partisan debate; and then a time when the two sides need to come together for the good of the country and in order for things to move forward.

This thing called a republic doesn’t work otherwise (as we’re seeing).
