  1. 9-month-old Aubree had an ultrasound and there is fluid on the spine. Mom Jill describes herself as devastated and scared and begging for prayers. MRI is next; docs are looking for a tumor.

The baby is a cheerful delight, otherwise.

  2. Sister and three of her kids were supposed to be traveling back to Rwanda today, but two of the kids have an upper-respiratory virus that mimics the flu and feel awful, so they have delayed leaving. Please pray that no one else will succumb to this mean virus and they will be able to return to Rwanda soon.

  3. My Dad passed away overnight. He’d been in the hospital with pneumonia and was doing well. Monday night he called to tell me he thought he would go home the next day. Instead, he took a turn for the worse, becoming semi-conscious and very agitated. They suspected a stroke but a CT didn’t indicate that. He was 91 and in very poor health so it could have been anything. My sister, brother, sister-in-law, and I spent the day with him yesterday and it was very difficult to watch him in the state he was in. In the afternoon, we got him back to the Nursing Center in the Lutheran home where he lived and they’d suggested we put him on hospice care. It is really a relief that he didn’t have to linger on for a week or even a couple of days like that. So it’s a good thing, but also a sad thing.

  4. Finally, as we continue to battle whatever illness we have, the two little ones yesterday, a fourteen year old today. A sixteen year old is still down, two fifteens are on the mend and it sounds like husband is catching it.

We have been asked to take a fourteen year old boy into our home. We might. A dozen is a good number and we are too big for our van anyway. Prayers as always.

  8. Agreeing with you all in prayers for all of the above mentioned.

JK who passed was 91 also like lshaffer’s dad. JK’s wife, Ruth, came in her wheelchair from the nursing home for the funeral. My brother has been a great help to them since my brother has been unemployed. I think it will be hard for my brother to have the absence being needed to help his friend. It has helped to occupy my brother during his time of unemployment.

    Thank you all for praying.

  9. We took my mom to the hospital tonight. She is losing blood somewhere. She will be there a few days while they figure out what’s up.
Nephew’s Crohn’s disease is acting up again. Hoping he will not need surgery again.
The Kid and I both have Doctor’s appointments next week for things that are hopefully not serious.
