Prayer Requests 1-10-13

Who, or what, would you like prayer for today?

Psalm 63:1-5

1 You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

2 I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.

3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.

4 I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.

5 I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

  1. Our beloved country (be that America or Canada) desperately needs revival & a new Great Awakening. I’ve been praying that it could even begin in the spiritually frozen northeast (but that wherever it begins is up to God, obviously, & I’ll be thankful 🙂 ).

Here in Connecticut, which is 49th in considering “religion” important, & only about 3 – 4% are evangelical, our little church has seen an incredible growth over the past four years. God is moving by His Spirit!

May He continue to move throughout the land, changing hearts & transforming lives.

  2. Heavenly Father,

The day is passing so quickly. Sometimes it is difficult to get the things done that so need doing. Please help all on the blog to be able to take care of their responsibilities in a timely manner.

A lot of people are suffering from the flu in our land right now, Lord. A J is one of the many. I pray for a quick recovery for them all with complications lessening with each new case of the flu. Please help our family friend, J K, as he has been fighting pneumonia and the fluid drawn from his lungs showed he has been battling an antibiotic resistant infection. Please help that not to spread further in the hospital. Please help my brother to not get it since he spent the night at the hospital not knowing about the severity of J K’s infection.

Lord, I pray for Baby Liam. You know what is needed to help with his condition. He is so young and not able to communicate anything other than cries or smiles to indicate what is going on with him. Please help his doctors and nurses to determine what he needs to improve his condition for right now and all of his life.

I pray for safety for Kare2012’s family as they are traveling. May they be blessed with safety for themselves and also may those traveling the highways they travel have blessed travels, too. Sometimes as we have traveled, Lord, You have given us special sightings along the way such as double rainbows or other unusual views of Your beautiful creation. I pray Kare2012’s family might be blessed similarly along their way.

We do so much need revival in our nation and on our continent. I agree with Karen O in her prayer. Connecticut is a small place, Lord, but the Bible tells us You do wonderful things in small places. Wherever You choose, Lord, we will be pleased to see the revival . In Your way, and in Your time! We wait on You to act, and we watch to see the good You will do.

I pray in the blessed name of Jesus. Amen

  3. Wow, thanks Janice – we did see some amazing scenes of winter – blowing snow, no other traffic, wild and beautiful. Hubby and I kept commenting on it. The closer we got to Calgary the more blizzard like it got, but we made it safely.
