Good morning. We got into the low forties this morning. What a swing in temperatures we will have as we get up into the high seventies.
My daughter was hit in the face with a soccer ball as they attended a game where the opponents were from Mexico. She was given season tickets to use for a favor she had done for someone. They were excited to be able to watch but sure didn’t expect this. The EMTs said it happens about 3 times a year. A woman’s wrist was broken once. My daughter is the one who is now on blood thinners, so her husband also took her to the ER. Her jaw is still not closing quite right, but they suspect that is from the swelling. Her nose is sore but could have easily been broken had the ball been a little more on point (no pun intended 😉 ) She is at work this morning after a late night in the ER.
This put me in mind of when the exuberant winning hockey player’s hockey stick flew over the barrier and hit me in the head years ago. It was a high school game, so no one paid attention to me. I, obviously, survived. Other people’s sports can be dangerous to your health. Maybe the government should warn us! 😀
Busy day here and I am worn out. Temps were cool this morning but we are now mid 80’s no clouds muggy. In town the air was thick and smoky making it hard to breathe. What a shock to be hit with that ball Kathaleena…thankful her husband had her checked out at ER. Praying for you as you go through your brother’s things Janice. That can be hard❣️
