  1. Good morning!

Agree, fun photo. Posed and looking clever or is that sly?

M and R were at the Atlanta Airport late yesterday so we had a text conversation while they waited for their connecting flight. They are on a missions type trip as part of a prayer team. Isn’t that awesome? They get around this globe!

  2. Such a sweet sweet photo up there! The fox are so enjoyable and fun to watch!

It’s a coolish morn here with temps to get up in the high 70’s. The air is so fresh though.

A family member is getting married and I logged onto the registry site…my how things change…requested set of sheets for 400.00? This person definitely does not live in my world of reality….I’m just stunned! I’m a “go to Marshalls” and find a set for 50.00 kind of gal!

  3. I am absolutely amazed at what young people expect for gifts for many occasions. I just checked out a wedding website myself. There was a variety of price points, which was good.

I also cannot believe the begging that goes on sites like FB. I understand real needs, but so much does not seem to be in that camp at all. Our grandparents would have been ashamed and horrified. There is a place for letting needs be known and accepting help when really needed. We have seemed to have swung in the other direction these days.

  4. Last 2 weddings, they just wanted money. Sigh.

M who landed safely in Joburg after 20 hours.

R’s 90 minutes chatting over a glass of wine with a man from a Hindu tradition ended with the gospel.

The guy was intrigued: “Christianity is happening now. My wife’s Hinduism is all about the dead and the past.”

Unsettling to see women in burkas at the airport last night.

    Silent dark shadows gliding past.

Fabric may have been satin; but the eye slits!

    😦

    A different world, for sure.

  5. My nephew is getting married soon – they said no gifts, but if we wanted we could contribute to their honeymoon $. I have no clue what is appropriate in a monetary gift. I usually try to find something nice on sale, or give them a gift card to Canadian Tire (useful store with everything from kitchen to garden to outdoor life to automotive and home improvement). Does one just put cash in a card?

It’s also the very first wedding where we were to choose “chicken or beef”. Every wedding I’ve ever been to everyone was served the same food. I think it’s going to be a very classy wedding – I’m a little nervous.
