Finishing our portion of the reunion tonight, heading home tomorrow. We’re all aging, some in sad ways. And this afternoon we got news of potentially serious health issues with the sister who chose not to come lest she see two of us, a grief with so many layers to it. A few of us also saw some other relatives who chose not to come to the gathering itself, some other layers of grief and pain.
That last was from me, Cheryl. It deleted my last paragraph, the positive twist. A first cousin once removed also came for an afternoon and brought his family. I haven’t seen him since I was a teenager and he a babe in arms. He’s the grandson of my atheist uncle, but apparently he and his family are all believers!
That last was from me, Cheryl. It’s late and morning of a travel day comes early. The system seems twice to have deleted good news I was trying to add, so I’ll send it another day.
