Prayer Requests 4-18-23

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 86

A prayer of David.

Hear me, Lord, and answer me,
    for I am poor and needy.
Guard my life, for I am faithful to you;
    save your servant who trusts in you.
   You are my God; have mercy on me, Lord,
    for I call to you all day long.
Bring joy to your servant, Lord,
    for I put my trust in you.

You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
    abounding in love to all who call to you.
Hear my prayer, Lord;
    listen to my cry for mercy.
When I am in distress, I call to you,
    because you answer me.

Among the gods there is none like you, Lord;
    no deeds can compare with yours.
All the nations you have made
    will come and worship before you, Lord;
    they will bring glory to your name.
10 For you are great and do marvelous deeds;
    you alone are God.

11 Teach me your way, Lord,
    that I may rely on your faithfulness;
   give me an undivided heart,
    that I may fear your name.
12 I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart;
    I will glorify your name forever.
13 For great is your love toward me;
    you have delivered me from the depths,
    from the realm of the dead.

14 Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God;
    ruthless people are trying to kill me—
    they have no regard for you.
15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
    slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
16 Turn to me and have mercy on me;
    show your strength in behalf of your servant;
   save me, because I serve you
    just as my mother did.
17 Give me a sign of your goodness,
    that my enemies may see it and be put to shame,
    for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

    That 86 Psalm is a wonderful prayer. Turn to us and have mercy on us Lord. For you are great and do marvelous deeds, and you alone are God. You are a compassionate and gracious God, and we praise you and glorify your name forever.

  3. My dad is definitely fighting a cold but does not acknowledge that he is ill. So getting him to do the things to try to avoid pneumonia are not working. Like getting up and moving. He even missed his nine o clock walk this morning. Wisdom.

  4. “Update on Jessica week 6 Tuesday. We made it to Lubbock!! It was a long night but uneventful for Jessica. I think she talked Ashley’s ear off on the way down, all 6 hours of the transport, bless Ashley for listening to every. single. word. For 6 hours. Lol. And thank you Elite for transporting her. I have not regretted even once moving and working for this company.

    We are here finally!! The staff is great and it’s a much more family friendly place. The pediatrician, occupational therapy and speech therapy have been in so far with physical therapy coming this afternoon. They have done more with her already than they did with her in a week at UMC so I know she will start improving leaps and bounds. Some of the tests done today to assess her cognitive function didn’t go so well, most of the things that involved writing or reasoning with written things she didn’t score well on. That’s ok though, we knew that was the case, we just didn’t know what exactly we were looking at or the specific services she was going to need before today but now we have more pieces to the puzzle and that gives us a direction. I’m just really thankful right now that God made this possible and we are here. This is definitely where she needs to be.”
