Prayer Requests 3-25-23

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 66

For the director of music. A song. A psalm.

Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
Sing the glory of his name;
    make his praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
    So great is your power
    that your enemies cringe before you.
All the earth bows down to you;
    they sing praise to you,
    they sing the praises of your name.”

Come and see what God has done,
    his awesome deeds for mankind!
He turned the sea into dry land,
    they passed through the waters on foot—
    come, let us rejoice in him.
He rules forever by his power,
    his eyes watch the nations—
    let not the rebellious rise up against him.

Praise our God, all peoples,
    let the sound of his praise be heard;
he has preserved our lives
    and kept our feet from slipping.
10 For you, God, tested us;
    you refined us like silver.
11 You brought us into prison
    and laid burdens on our backs.
12 You let people ride over our heads;
    we went through fire and water,
    but you brought us to a place of abundance.

13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings
    and fulfill my vows to you—
14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
    when I was in trouble.
15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you
    and an offering of rams;
    I will offer bulls and goats.

16 Come and hear, all you who fear God;
    let me tell you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
    his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
    the Lord would not have listened;
19 but God has surely listened
    and has heard my prayer.
20 Praise be to God,
    who has not rejected my prayer
    or withheld his love from me!

  1. Court is scheduled for March 30. Prayer for a good resolution to a difficult situation. Sounds like daughter is filing for full custody rather than what she agreed to initially. This whole thing was her idea, she filled out the forms making it fifty one forty nine, she took the preponderance of the debt (she racked it up as well) and she declared minimal child support on either side with her giving the larger share. Now she wants full custody? In the eighty six hours a week she assigned herself, she sees the children or is in their presence while they sleep, approximately six hours total. She either sends them to my husband, my son in law, her brother and wife, or a helpful friend. I do not get it but God knows what He has planned and we will rest in that. May the court be guided by His Hand and may God be glorified.

  2. Praying to God who cares greatly for the children to provide His best solution. May clarity of the situation be given by God to decision makers. May diligence in finding the truth be a priority for the decision makers. May any involved who are under deception have the eyes of their hearts and the logic in their minds let loose from any bondage to believe in fantasies outside of reality. I pray for a loving and God honoring solution. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  3. Kevin – I can’t answer for Mumsee, and of course, our court systems can be different, but in Nightingale’s case, I was disappointed that although I am Boy’s caregiver AND live with them, my input was not considered important, and thus not asked for.

    It wasn’t until X breached the protective order (for Nightingale) by coming to our house that Nightingale was finally – after dealing with X’s bad behavior for over ten years – granted sole custody of Boy. (X has limited visitation rights, and has to be with his parents for those weekly visits.)
