It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.
Anyone else?
Psalm 41
A psalm of David.
1 Blessed are those who have regard for the weak;
the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.
2 The Lord protects and preserves them—
they are counted among the blessed in the land—
he does not give them over to the desire of their foes.
3 The Lord sustains them on their sickbed
and restores them from their bed of illness.
4 I said, “Have mercy on me, Lord;
heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
5 My enemies say of me in malice,
“When will he die and his name perish?”
6 When one of them comes to see me,
he speaks falsely, while his heart gathers slander;
then he goes out and spreads it around.
7 All my enemies whisper together against me;
they imagine the worst for me, saying,
8 “A vile disease has afflicted him;
he will never get up from the place where he lies.”
9 Even my close friend,
someone I trusted,
one who shared my bread,
has turned against me.
10 But may you have mercy on me, Lord;
raise me up, that I may repay them.
11 I know that you are pleased with me,
for my enemy does not triumph over me.
12 Because of my integrity you uphold me
and set me in your presence forever.
13 Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting.
Amen and Amen.
Please pray for my friend R, 39.5 weeks pregnant with a big boy— that she safely delivers a healthy son soon.

You guys are good. After 5 or 6 visits in the last 10 days, they’ve finally admitted her to the hospital.
He’s going to be big–over 9 pounds–and she’s nervous about his size.

Please pray that God will bring enough and the right staff for our spring and summer programs here at Camp Kadesh.
We have limited our number of campers this year because of staffing. This is so sad! In part because C ovid broke our leadership training program where we bring up young leaders. Two summers without camp is not a good thing.

Prayers for the blessing of provision of a healthy baby and mother on M’s request and for the needed staff at Camp Kadesh. May God go into each arena and supply in extraordinary ways so His goodness and glory will be completely acknowledged. He is able! In Jesus, Amen

Prayers and praise!
Kare, covid has disrupted so much of our lives and those scars will be with us for a while. I saw a post recently suggesting that the pandemic, along with the cultural, racial and political upheavals/divisions especially in the US, the 2020 police killing of George Floyd feeding into all of that, and also the invasion of Ukraine by Russia (still being played out) have changed life in so many ways.
We’re still just beginning to grasp it all, in its micro and macro impacts.
Feels like we’ve been left raw, and not remembering quite how to deal respectfully with others very well. 😦

So I pray also that Christians, especially, can take a breath, take a step back from the anger and collective stress, and return, individually and as a community, to what (and to Whom) we know to be True, how we are to think, act and behave in this fallen world, regardless of what others are displaying around us.

Still no word . . .
I had two 9-11 guys. When they come out that big, they can practically walk home, and while heavier than the average newborn, you don’t worry so much about slinging them around.
