Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
Surgery went well yesterday for my neighbor, thanks for the prayers; I talked to them in the evening, husband was still in her room and they were on speaker phone.
He said she may come home today, but that remains to be seen. I’m sure she’s experiencing some wooziness and pain, but they should be able to control that mostly. They’ll have her up and moving again today, they typically have you up within just a couple hours after surgery with these replacement surgeries.

Praying for mumsee and kin today with the burial planned (?) and for comfort in the wake of their loss. Thankful for the care and fellowship and witness he received in his final weeks at the farmlette.

The wind did not knock out our power, for which I am very grateful, but we did lose internet from early evening last night till around noon today. Not bad, and a lot better than losing power.

Neighbor is struggling with her knee recovery, they were unable to get her up today and they are now talking of sending her to a rehab for about a week for more intensive work. She’s having a lot of pain, her husband sounded exhausted when he called tonight to catch me up.
He and I are going to connect in the morning, I offered to help with their dogs as he’s spending such long days with her now. He thought he’d given me a key to their back door but I’m not recalling that (though I remember we’d talked about it some weeks or months ago). I do still have their front-door key.
Pray that her pain will abate and be better controlled, that her discouragement will lift, and a rehabilitation course will be put in place and successful to get her over this hump.
I feel so bad for her, she has sort of a negative outlook on things sometimes and was so scared of this surgery. I think it’s just taking a little longer for her to rebound, she’s lost a lot of strength in the last couple years from the stroke so that’s got to be part of it also.

From challies this morning:
In Times of Controversy
__________________
~ For as long as there has been truth, there has been division over the truth—over what is consistent with God’s revelation and what is aberrant, over what pleases him and what grieves his heart. Richard Baxter was no stranger to this reality and, aware of his own sinfulness, penned a prayer meant to plead God’s help in times of controversy.
Lord God, when controversies occasion division among your people, may I look first to the interest of the common good and to the exercise of charity.
May I not become a passionate contender for any party or censure the peaceable.
May I not overreach my understanding or try to win esteem for my orthodoxy or zeal.
May I suspect my own unripe evaluation and silence my opinions until I am clear and certain.
May I join the moderates and the peacemakers rather than the contenders and dividers.
For division leads to the ruin of the church, the hindrance of the gospel and injury to the interests of true religion.
Keep me, I pray, from being misguided; from being carried away by passion or discontent; from worldly interests; from thinking too highly of my own opinion.
May my zeal be more for faith, charity and unity than for my opinions.
(Drawn from Into His Presence) ~

Feeling sad to hear that about your neighbor, Dj. Praying for her. It may be the most pain she has ever had in her life. So much is at stake when trying to get the pain properly managed. I pray for God to move to make a much better path to recovery than the one she has been on thus far. I also ask that she would have an angel of encoutagement speaking into her ear and helping her to be determined to make progress tomorrow. And may God bless yhe husband with rest and peace that passes understanding. In Jesus’ name, Amen
