It’s Thursday, so don’t forget Jo and the folks in PNG.
Anyone else have something to share?
Psalm 21
For the director of music. A psalm of David.
1 The king rejoices in your strength, Lord.
How great is his joy in the victories you give!
2 You have granted him his heart’s desire
and have not withheld the request of his lips.
3 You came to greet him with rich blessings
and placed a crown of pure gold on his head.
4 He asked you for life, and you gave it to him—
length of days, for ever and ever.
5 Through the victories you gave, his glory is great;
you have bestowed on him splendor and majesty.
6 Surely you have granted him unending blessings
and made him glad with the joy of your presence.
7 For the king trusts in the Lord;
through the unfailing love of the Most High
he will not be shaken.
8 Your hand will lay hold on all your enemies;
your right hand will seize your foes.
9 When you appear for battle,
you will burn them up as in a blazing furnace.
The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath,
and his fire will consume them.
10 You will destroy their descendants from the earth,
their posterity from mankind.
11 Though they plot evil against you
and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed.
12 You will make them turn their backs
when you aim at them with drawn bow.
13 Be exalted in your strength, Lord;
we will sing and praise your might.
Wisdom on how to motivate son in law to get a job.

Mumsee, if he is required to work at the house where he lives in exchange for his rent and upkeep, then if he ‘discovers’ he can go to an outside job doing the same thing and get paid for it then he might see the logic in working. If he enjoys the childcare work maybe he could find a place he could take the child(ren) with him and assist in keeping others like in a daycare or preschool setting. It does not pay much but might establish going out to make money as a habit. Of course, if he has special interests or hobbies, something along those lines would be ideal.
I had a friend with a gifted underachiever husband. He loved woodworking and had a shop in their yard for his hobby. He got a job in a local hardware store where he could share his interest with others and get discounts on supplies for his hobby. It’s a start but not a stopping point.
Prayers for your wisdom, his motivation, and for him to desire to be a good example for the little ones who watch and follow (or rebel against) what they see in him.

Nightingale is working a double today, so she will be driving home late tonight, tired. Please pray that God will keep her awake and alert in her driving. (And might as well add that He will speak to her by His Holy Spirit as she drives, and draw her to Jesus.)

My boss went to the ED this morning with heart issues (he needs a valve replaced at some point). He was there all day and we haven’t heard anything further.

It is currently 3 degrees, with a windchill of 20 below zero. It is supposed to go down to 9 below overnight, with a windchill of 30 below. It is extremely windy out there.
Due to that wind, there have been some power outages in town this afternoon. Please pray that we will not lose our power. We don’t have a fireplace, so we would have no heat at all. And please pray that power can be restored to those who have lost it, and for safety for those doing that work. Thank you.
