Prayer Requests 12-29-22

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget Jo and the folks in PNG.

Anyone else have something to share?

Psalm 140

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

Rescue me, Lord, from evildoers;
    protect me from the violent,
who devise evil plans in their hearts
    and stir up war every day.
They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s;
    the poison of vipers is on their lips.

Keep me safe, Lord, from the hands of the wicked;
    protect me from the violent,
    who devise ways to trip my feet.
The arrogant have hidden a snare for me;
    they have spread out the cords of their net
    and have set traps for me along my path.

I say to the Lord, “You are my God.”
    Hear, Lord, my cry for mercy.
Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer,
    you shield my head in the day of battle.
Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord;
    do not let their plans succeed.

Those who surround me proudly rear their heads;
    may the mischief of their lips engulf them.
10 May burning coals fall on them;
    may they be thrown into the fire,
    into miry pits, never to rise.
11 May slanderers not be established in the land;
    may disaster hunt down the violent.

12 I know that the Lord secures justice for the poor
    and upholds the cause of the needy.
13 Surely the righteous will praise your name,
    and the upright will live in your presence.

  1. Praying for him now, Mumsee. Wisdom, guidance, peace in the midst of confusion, settling of opposing expectations, and God-sized patience. Lord, You know what else Mike needs that only You can provide. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  2. And God help our dear Mumsee as she deals with the beloved older gentlemen and their needs, as well as the younger ones in the house. Not to mention being a good wife to Mike.

  3. Grandpa has been combative today. More and more aggressive. Nurse is trying a different antipsychotic sedation. Six doses later he is still going strong. Wants to break down the wall so we can get those cows out, they need to be milked.

    Dad seems to have resolved his issues for now and continues to be very grateful for our assistance. I wonder if he will go the way of grandpa or continue to be kind with some resistance.

    Prayer and praise as we continue to try to serve our dads thereby serving the King.

  4. Prayers, mumsee, for all the wisdom and stamina you need and for their well-being.

    Prayers, Janice, for you as well. I especially prayed that the team will get the radiation in exactly the right place with minimum damage.

    Holding AJ up in prayer.

    And so many others.
