Prayer Requests 11-26-22

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 119:113-128

ס Samekh

113 I hate double-minded people,
    but I love your law.
114 You are my refuge and my shield;
    I have put my hope in your word.
115 Away from me, you evildoers,
    that I may keep the commands of my God!
116 Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live;
    do not let my hopes be dashed.
117 Uphold me, and I will be delivered;
    I will always have regard for your decrees.
118 You reject all who stray from your decrees,
    for their delusions come to nothing.
119 All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross;
    therefore I love your statutes.
120 My flesh trembles in fear of you;
    I stand in awe of your laws.

ע Ayin

121 I have done what is righteous and just;
    do not leave me to my oppressors.
122 Ensure your servant’s well-being;
    do not let the arrogant oppress me.
123 My eyes fail, looking for your salvation,
    looking for your righteous promise.
124 Deal with your servant according to your love
    and teach me your decrees.
125 I am your servant; give me discernment
    that I may understand your statutes.
126 It is time for you to act, Lord;
    your law is being broken.
127 Because I love your commands
    more than gold, more than pure gold,
128 and because I consider all your precepts right,
    I hate every wrong path.

  1. Spoke with older sister about Mom this morning. She and little sister believe it is time to find an assisted living situation for her. The house would have to be sold and then there is her dog. Little sister would take Midge, a 10 year old Pug in bad health, and keep her on the farm but I don’t think Mom is going to go along with it all. We have no idea what we are doing and are flying by the seat of our pants so to say . Seeking the Lord’s direction and provision in a facility if that is what is to happen. I just feel so incredibly sad about it all. She has an appt with the doctor on Monday and sisters want guardianship assigned to them. 😞

  2. We’ve tried in the past to sit down with relatives and ask a simple question: “How do you want the end of your life to go?”

    With follow-ups like, “we realize this is not what you had in mind, but given the following choices: [whatever they are] which appeals to you most?”

    WHO do you want to control your last days–a doctor, a hospital, someone who doesn’t know you, or us?

    I think I told you, I made a video of myself earlier this year, giving the date, and then saying, “Michelle, listen to me. You raised good kids who love you. Do what they say.”

    And then I sent a copy to all the kids. 🙂

  3. The man I mentioned the other day – C, husband of Nightingale’s friend B – is out of the hospital for now, but the doctors are still working on coming up with a diagnosis. Unfortunately, Colby does not have health insurance, and his doctor, hospital, and medical test bills are going to be pretty high, as you may imagine.

    Beth set up a GoFundMe to get some help with those bills. I imagine she and her husband must be quite scared about not only his health, but also about paying off these bills, and the ones to come. Please pray for salvation, healing, and provision for them. Thank you.

  4. I understand, Kizzie, about those med bills. We have insurance through a Medicare Advantage plan, a good plan, and on Thanksgiving Day, of all times, an email came through for a bill of over $900. We are just now getting billing for my services in August forward partly because the hospital communication system was changing over. Prayers for those you mentioned and for AJ, DJ, and all we know going through big medical procedures that add up in costs over time. So thankful to be able to turn all concerns over to our God of provision.
