It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.
Anyone else?
Psalm 97
1 The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad;
let the distant shores rejoice.
2 Clouds and thick darkness surround him;
righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
3 Fire goes before him
and consumes his foes on every side.
4 His lightning lights up the world;
the earth sees and trembles.
5 The mountains melt like wax before the Lord,
before the Lord of all the earth.
6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness,
and all peoples see his glory.
7 All who worship images are put to shame,
those who boast in idols—
worship him, all you gods!
8 Zion hears and rejoices
and the villages of Judah are glad
because of your judgments, Lord.
9 For you, Lord, are the Most High over all the earth;
you are exalted far above all gods.
10 Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 Light shines on the righteous
and joy on the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the Lord, you who are righteous,
and praise his holy name.
Off again, meds to daughter and then an oil change in Lewiston. This life my husband leads is rather exhausting. Not sure I am made for it. But it is what the Lord has given me at this time so He will provide the needed whatever. Prayer please. And prayer for husband who has the more difficult challenge by far.

Ditto.
And prayers for our nation and the upcoming elections, that voting will go smoothly and that believers can take a breath and be an example of calm and clear-headedness, fair-mindedness, being good neighbors to all, praying for our enemies, and representing the One who called us. Our nation is not in a good place, obviously.

Please pray for C, husband of Nightingale’s friend B. C has not been feeling well for a while and finally has a diagnosis – lymphoma. Please pray that the doctors will be able to successfully treat him, that he will be around to see his children grow up (for their sake as well as his). (And of course, but B’s sake, too.)
Also please pray for salvation for all of them. B lists her religion as Christian on Facebook, but that doesn’t necessarily mean saving faith.

New plans on J and her baby.
They put a stent into J’s liver, which has allowed it to function better.
Baby is at 85th percentile for her gestational age, and weighs 2 pounds 12 ounces.
She’ll be born next week after all, doctors aren’t worried about the baby’s survival at all.
they’ll give J a week to recover, and then will hit her with all the chemo and drugs she can take.
Doctors are hoping it will help and relatively optimistic J’s young enough to take it.
All the same, Mother-in-law texted me today, “I don’t want to celebrate Christmas.”
I told her I understood, but reminded her they’ll be a baby at her house this year and she needs to get to work on a stocking.
That got helped cheer her up a little— I hope.
Still praying for a miracle.

Praying.
And a praise on behalf of my neighbor who finally got approval AND a date for the first of her two, much needed, total knee replacement surgeries (Dec. 9).
She continues to recover from a stroke she had almost 2 years ago but the knees have been shot for many years, she’d put off the surgeries and when she was finally ready, in late 2019, early 2020, to go through with it, the pandemic struck. Then she had a stroke, making any surgery much more serious.

The medical oncologist sent a message that my chest and abdomen scans from Thurs look great. Blessed news indeed. Now the wait to hear from today’s test.

So thankful for your neighbor’s good news, dj! Prayers for a good surgery and steady recovery to get her back in motion.
Prayers for that most difficult scenario, M, that really is beyond imagining. But truly, some of the medical breakthroughs are beyond imagining, too. May God give miracles of timing and the cutting edge technologies mixed with advanced medical treatments that can wither the affliction and bring that mama to restored life for the sake of baby and family. May God be glorified.
