It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia.
Anyone else have something to share?
Psalm 88
A song. A psalm of the Sons of Korah.
1 Lord, you are the God who saves me;
day and night I cry out to you.
2 May my prayer come before you;
turn your ear to my cry.
3 I am overwhelmed with troubles
and my life draws near to death.
4 I am counted among those who go down to the pit;
I am like one without strength.
5 I am set apart with the dead,
like the slain who lie in the grave,
whom you remember no more,
who are cut off from your care.
6 You have put me in the lowest pit,
in the darkest depths.
7 Your wrath lies heavily on me;
you have overwhelmed me with all your waves.
8 You have taken from me my closest friends
and have made me repulsive to them.
I am confined and cannot escape;
9 my eyes are dim with grief.
I call to you, Lord, every day;
I spread out my hands to you.
10 Do you show your wonders to the dead?
Do their spirits rise up and praise you?
11 Is your love declared in the grave,
your faithfulness in Destruction?
12 Are your wonders known in the place of darkness,
or your righteous deeds in the land of oblivion?
13 But I cry to you for help, Lord;
in the morning my prayer comes before you.
14 Why, Lord, do you reject me
and hide your face from me?
15 From my youth I have suffered and been close to death;
I have borne your terrors and am in despair.
16 Your wrath has swept over me;
your terrors have destroyed me.
17 All day long they surround me like a flood;
they have completely engulfed me.
18 You have taken from me friend and neighbor—
darkness is my closest friend.
Prayer as we head up to help the folks. Taking both with me today and we will see how that works, both home and up there. Should work and then we can stop in Lewiston on the return trip to get to speech therapy rather than drive past Lewiston to home and then back for speech and back home. Should save a couple hours of driving.
Prayer for husband as he continues his helping and visiting. The family should be sending someone to pick up the hundred year old, maybe today. Then husband will need to decide whether to continue to stay there or return home. If he comes home, nobody will be visiting either of the elderly in the facility. And if grandpa is released a week before grandma, there will be nobody there to care for him.

Yes, praying Mumsee. Such difficult choices. Mike definitely needs to be cloned. It does sound good about your decision to cut out the extra drive time. I use to have to drive a lot to take care of my mother for a while and I referred to that as carschooling instead of homeschooling. Depending on traffic, we’d at least be in the car for two hours per day but up to four hours. That is when I became a coffee drinker.
Prayers for Mike to continue to be energized (and you, too), for y’all to have safety in your various travels and for the Lord to clarify His best plan for taking care of all loved ones needing care.

I am feeling some better today. I went back to the magic bullet . . . the sports bra!
The nurse from the surgeon’s office said I may have a seratoma. Nancyjill had asked about a hemotoma which would be a pocket of blood. A seratoma is a pocket of fluid which can become infected. This will involve a followup appt.

Praying still Janice. Did the nurse suggest they aspirate the pocket of fluid? I would think they would want to drain something causing infection.

Since they have not “seen” me then they will look at the situation and determine what if anything to do. I actually had to take photos of the incision area and send them in a couple of days ago (of course only if I felt comfortable doing so). I did not know if I’d be able, but I am practiced with photography so surprised myself by the clarity so I could actually see better what was going on myself with that incision. This was a limited photo only of the incision area and totally not a glamour shot😀 It saved a trip and cost of a visit to the doc.😀

I do like the Teladoc appts we can utilize now don’t you?! I pray they determine what it is and how to fix it! 😊

Praying for you, Janice and Mumsee.
Thank you for praying for DIL and son. He’s now coming down with it, but it seems mild so hopefully over quickly.
