Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 72
Of Solomon.
1 Endow the king with your justice, O God,
the royal son with your righteousness.
2 May he judge your people in righteousness,
your afflicted ones with justice.
3 May the mountains bring prosperity to the people,
the hills the fruit of righteousness.
4 May he defend the afflicted among the people
and save the children of the needy;
may he crush the oppressor.
5 May he endure as long as the sun,
as long as the moon, through all generations.
6 May he be like rain falling on a mown field,
like showers watering the earth.
7 In his days may the righteous flourish
and prosperity abound till the moon is no more.
8 May he rule from sea to sea
and from the River to the ends of the earth.
9 May the desert tribes bow before him
and his enemies lick the dust.
10 May the kings of Tarshish and of distant shores
bring tribute to him.
May the kings of Sheba and Seba
present him gifts.
11 May all kings bow down to him
and all nations serve him.
12 For he will deliver the needy who cry out,
the afflicted who have no one to help.
13 He will take pity on the weak and the needy
and save the needy from death.
14 He will rescue them from oppression and violence,
for precious is their blood in his sight.
15 Long may he live!
May gold from Sheba be given him.
May people ever pray for him
and bless him all day long.
16 May grain abound throughout the land;
on the tops of the hills may it sway.
May the crops flourish like Lebanon
and thrive like the grass of the field.
17 May his name endure forever;
may it continue as long as the sun.
Then all nations will be blessed through him,
and they will call him blessed.
18 Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel,
who alone does marvelous deeds.
19 Praise be to his glorious name forever;
may the whole earth be filled with his glory.
Amen and Amen.
20 This concludes the prayers of David son of Jesse.

So thankful to God that those I know in Florida seemed to have weathered the storm with minimal damage. Prayers for the others and all those helping in the aftermath.

And so it begins (again).
X texted me a few times this morning, trying to stir up trouble, making an accusation against his mom (he turns against her when he is having a mental break). He sounds like he does when he is not doing well mentally and gets belligerent.
At first, in texts with Nightingale, X’s-Mom made it seem like they were going to protect Boy by keeping him away from X (by taking him to the movies). But we suspect that X must have threatened to call the police (as he mentioned in a text to me), because the next thing we know, X’s-Mom is texting Nightingale that X will pick up Boy on time (from their home), and insisting that X has been stable for the past couple of years.
Boy will be with his dad for six hours today. Please pray for his safety in every way – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. He seems to believe everything his dad tells him, and X can be very manipulative.
Nightingale again expressed fear and dismay that her son may follow in his dad’s footsteps, as she already sees some of X’s behavior in him at times. 😦 (I did tell her what a couple of you said about having mentally ill relatives whose children turned out okay.)
Oh, and speaking of X being manipulative, he tells me that he is praying and asks for my prayers, and made a reference to God. It would be wonderful to think that that is all for real, but knowing how he is, I am highly skeptical (while still praying for his salvation, deliverance, and healing).

Of course he does! Dad’s are everything to children! Especially if they can get mom riled up by saying things dad lets them do.
Praying with you, knowing that God does indeed have messed up people in His care and loves them and can bring them to saving faith even in their mess. Speaking from the choir here.

Father God, we pray a wide, deep, and high hedge of protection around the Boy this day. Keep him hidden in the shadow of your hand–unaffected physically, emotionally, or spiritually by anything he sees or encounters this day.
We pray for stability for X and that you will pull the shroud of unbelief and imagination from his head. Enable X to actually enjoy his son and his interests today. In the name of Jesus, send away the demons who haunt X and clear his mind.
Grant Kizzie, Nightingale, and X’s mother peace about this day.
Above all, we pray Boy would be returned safely this evening–still pure in mind, soul, and spirit.
In the name and power of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

I’m just thankful today. Making progress on my lengthy list, but more importantly 11 hours of sleep last night!
Incredibly thankful this morning.

Sadly, the old X is back, texting me accusations against my daughter and threatening to get custody of Boy. Of course, he probably doesn’t stand a chance of that, but he can make some trouble in the trying.
Nightingale sent herself screenshots of the texts from earlier today from my phone, and passed them on to her lawyer. She is working tonight, so she hasn’t seen the latest (which included the accusations I mentioned), but will take a look at them tomorrow.

M – Thank you for your prayer. It brought thankful tears to my eyes.

I thought he was not supposed to be contacting you either.

Mumsee – We tried that for a while some time back, but it turned out that my involvement is needed to keep informed of, and help make, various arrangements. Something I was thinking a little while ago is that his texts give us “ammunition” against him in his own words. The only reason we need any ammunition is for our own protection.
So although it can be stressful, I do want to stay in the loop. And since I am under no obligation to respond except when necessary, it is a little less stressful than it used to be.

So good to hear, Kizzie.
Meanwhile, my trouble-making neighbor turned up again today, his mom was gone so he broke into the garage and was playing the hard-rock music at full volume again. I couldn’t reach the mom — she’s disconnected the cell I had before — and I wasn’t able to connect with their relatives around the corner so I was just about to call the police myself when I noticed a black and white cruising by, then another one. He’s in custody, he was telling the cops his mom told him he could come by to collect his record albums, which no one seemed to believe.

Kizzie, I am thankful that he is texting. Texts show who they are from and don’t disappear. He is providing you with evidence and documenting his own state of mine.
God will use this for good.
