It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.
Anyone else?
Psalm 57
1 Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me,
for in you I take refuge.
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings
until the disaster has passed.
2 I cry out to God Most High,
to God, who vindicates me.
3 He sends from heaven and saves me,
rebuking those who hotly pursue me—
God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.
4 I am in the midst of lions;
I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts—
men whose teeth are spears and arrows,
whose tongues are sharp swords.
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.
6 They spread a net for my feet—
I was bowed down in distress.
They dug a pit in my path—
but they have fallen into it themselves.
7 My heart, O God, is steadfast,
my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and make music.
8 Awake, my soul!
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
9 I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
10 For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.
And for the situations with Mumsee’s and Mike’s parents.

We have been unable to persuade the relatives. So we plan to have our own coverage for my dad with people who are happy to care for both. I call it Operation Uncomfortable. The dreaded caregiver will have another adult in the house at all times while she is doing her caring for stepmom. No more yelling at dad or telling him he does not know what he is talking about or overruling his decisions. Sadly, the other caretakers are some to a lot fearful of the one so it looks like I will be able to spend a lot of time in Moscow with my dad and mom.
Prayers for taking care of things on the homefront the next week as husband is off to Florida and I do still have chickens and turkeys and dogs and cats and two children at home.

Mumsee – Do those other relatives know all of that as they insist on keeping her?

Let’s pray she gets a different job offer (or chooses to leave the profession for something else).

Kizzie, they are paying her to take care of their mom but really, I believe they don’t think she is replaceable. They believe she is who is keeping their mom alive, not realizing how much the rest of us put into it, with ideas, time loving their mom (they all live closer to her and combined have spent less time with her than I have), transport to medical, shopping, internet coverage, tv coverage, phone coverage, etc. But the worker has them convinced. We are not convinced the worker has her CNA, as she told us at the start she did not, but they are convinced she does and there insurance pays for her as a CNA. Assuming the insurance company knows about fraud and checks on these things…
