Prayer Requests 8-13-22

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 26

Of David.

Vindicate me, Lord,
    for I have led a blameless life;
   I have trusted in the Lord
    and have not faltered.
Test me, Lord, and try me,
    examine my heart and my mind;
for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love
    and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.

I do not sit with the deceitful,
    nor do I associate with hypocrites.
I abhor the assembly of evildoers
    and refuse to sit with the wicked.
I wash my hands in innocence,
    and go about your altar, Lord,
proclaiming aloud your praise
    and telling of all your wonderful deeds.

Lord, I love the house where you live,
    the place where your glory dwells.
Do not take away my soul along with sinners,
    my life with those who are bloodthirsty,
10 in whose hands are wicked schemes,
    whose right hands are full of bribes.
11 I lead a blameless life;
    deliver me and be merciful to me.

12 My feet stand on level ground;
    in the great congregation I will praise the Lord.

  1. Headed to Moscow today, planning to train the two new women and maybe not be spending the entire Saturdays up there in future. God’s blessing on the conversation. I am thinking they may be believers, hoping to pursue that today.

  4. Our daughter is on her eighth trip to Nicaragua for the near-annual missionary eyeglass clinic our church does.

    Two people had to pull out very close to departure and their team–usually 10 adults–is down to eight and two of them are under 14.

    They have too many hard travel days–going far into the interior this trip–and with a reduced staffing, it will be harder than usual.

    Please pray for safety in travel, health, spirits, and most especially for all the folks traveling, some long distances, for glasses.

    They’re giving out Bibles, Bible storybooks (all in Spanish), toys, and sunglasses.

    To God be the glory.

  5. Prayers for Mumsee’s chat with the ladies to go well and be productive both professionally and spiritually. May everyone be on the same page.

    Prayers for Annika to not have much pain and to have great relief from her surgery. May God give her extra tolerance over taking needed meds without fighting or dashing away.

    Praising God for the missions trip to supply sight to those in difficult to reach areas. May God’s favor be evident throughout the trip. May He post angels all around those who are being Jesus there. May things go even better than planned.

    I lift these prayers in the name of Jesus, Amen

  6. Still feeling very concerned about Nightingale letting things slide. It’s not merely the things that need to be done that are concerning me (although, yes, that does concern me), but what I find even more troubling is whatever is going on with her. Please pray for her.

  7. Also please pray for me to be able to truly leave this all in God’s hands, because I am feeling more stressed and anxious about all of this.

  8. Father God, You see the big picture with Nightingale. Like so many in healthcare during the pandemic perhaps she simply feels burnout. I know my friend’s daughter of similar age has expressed indications of burnout. If that is the problem, Lord, I pray You will lift Nightingale and others up with more positive experiences at work so that can spill over into their home lives and keep them in a more energetic frame of mind. Lord, if something else is going on, I know You know. Please help her to seek help, counseling, or other help to rise up and take care of home responsibilities. I pray for Kizzie that you will enable her to rise above the stress and fears. Please guide her to do anything that You see that she could do to help Nightingale. Please make a way when there seems no way. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  9. Kare, do you know what is making your throat sore?

    Lord, I lift up Kare to You for healing of her throat. You know the cause of her affliction. Whether allergies, viral, or bacterial, I pray it will not linger. May it be soothed by natural treatments if possible. If she needs medical care, please give her quick access. Thank You for working out the details of healing her throat so she can resume her planned activities and not spread it to anyone else. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  10. Dangerous potential flooding and mud—. A trip slater for two hours took four, including a hair-raising near flying bus ride.

    They arrived to a long line of people who had been standing in line since daybreak, and who applauded when the team finally arrived.

    Please pray for safety.
