And how can I appropriately respond to the H E double sticks I will get from my friends who will be so angry about this and take it out on me because I am the convenient and only conservative they are friends with? I honestly don’t know what to do with this. Especially at this time.
My husband and I just talked about this–I’m staying off Twitter today.
Compassion is always the answer.
We don’t know what is in anyone’s heart or why they react the way they do. There very well could be grief from past decisions, hardness of heart because of being forced–or feeling forced–into a decision.
There is a great deal of hurt– emotional, physical, and mental– that needs healing and forgiveness.
We listen with compassion. God knows.
While praying recently at my local center, I had a “vision” and prayed a hedge of protection around the facility, the workers, and the clients. I “saw” two angels standing with flaming swords before the entrance to the center.
Let’s pray for the physical and spiritual safety of those on the front lines in this battle.
And, even more importantly, for those women in the crosshairs who will be hearing all sorts of lies today.
Left wing Twitter not so much, yet it has been somewhat amusing. It cracks me up how women in NY, Cali., NJ, DC and elsewhere are acting like it’s the worst thing ever, even though it will still be easily available in their states.
Note that Roberts sought the cowardly way out, trying to please everyone while leaving Roe intact. Such a disappointment.
“The Supreme Court on Friday revoked the constitutional right to an abortion that has been in place for half a century — overturning Roe v. Wade on a 5-4 vote, clearing the way for dozens of states to swiftly ban the procedure and throwing the country into uncharted political, legal, social and medical territory.
The bombshell decision is set to upend elections across the country as governors, attorneys general and other state and local leaders gain new powers to determine when abortion will be permitted, if at all, and who should be prosecuted and potentially incarcerated when bans take effect.”
The high court’s vote to overturn nearly five decades of court rulings upholding a right to end a pregnancy won the support of five of the court’s six conservative justices, while Chief Justice John Roberts and the court’s three liberal justices opposed overruling Roe.”
—
“In its official opinion, the court’s conservative majority went beyond simply resolving the case before them — Mississippi’s near-ban on abortion at 15 weeks of pregnancy — and instead overturned both Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, long-standing precedents that barred states from banning abortion before the point of fetal viability.
“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, “ Alito wrote. “This Court cannot bring about the permanent resolution of a rancorous national controversy simply by dictating a settlement and telling the people to move on.”
As the draft previewed, Alito argued that history demonstrates no tradition in the United States of a right to abortion, and the absence of such protections undermines the Supreme Court’s conclusion 49 years ago that abortion rights were implicit in a constitutional right to privacy.”
—
“In another solo concurring opinion, Roberts staked out a middle ground position on the abortion case before the court, arguing that the court had no need to overrule Roe in its entirety and should have simply upheld Mississippi’s 15-week limit while leaving questions about the constitutionality of tighter restrictions to future cases.”
———
And note that Alito shot down the Democrats talking points of the next thing to go will be inter-racial, and gay marriage with this….
“However, the court’s five-justice majority also cautioned that their momentous decision to retreat from Roe does not mean that other court decisions grounded in privacy rights are in jeopardy.
“Nothing in this opinion should be understood to cast doubt on precedents that do not concern abortion,” Alito wrote.”
It applies to abortion only, so when Dems tell you otherwise going forward, and they and the media will endlessly, that it’s not true.
“Over the last two months a wave of radical, pro-abortion terror has swept across the country, firebombings of pro-life organizations, intimidation of individuals, and destruction of property. But you wouldn’t know the perpetrator if you watched ABC, CBS, NBC and MSNBC. They refuse to say the name of the group responsible: Jane’s Revenge. Shockingly, the liberal CNN is the only network to name names and specifically identify them.
This terrorist organization has claimed credit for firebombings, arson and other acts of violence. With little subtlety, they are now threatening physical harm or death. In addition to not saying the group’s name, the little coverage of the actual attacks resulted in a matter-of-fact, no-outrage tone.
Jane’s Revenge has taken credit for scores of attacks against pro-lifers and on June 15, released this terrifying threat to pro-life Americans:
We offered an honourable way out. You could have walked away. Now the leash is off. And we will make it as hard as possible for your campaign of oppression to continue. We have demonstrated in the past month how easy and fun it is to attack. We are versatile, we are mercurial, and we answer to no one but ourselves. We promised to take increasingly drastic measures against oppressive infrastructures.
Rest assured that we will, and those measures may not come in the form of something so easily cleaned up as fire and graffiti…. it’s open season, and we know where your operations are. The infrastructure of the enslavers will not survive…. Through attacking, we find joy, courage, and strip the veneer of impenetrability held by these violent institutions.”
Joe Biden is lying to the American people in the first 20 seconds of his speech. The right to get an abortion was not taken away — it was given back to the people to determine for themselves via elected representatives.

Apparently Jen Rubin has finally lost the two marbles she had left since Trump broke her….
senators cheering the decision are supporting states' power to criminalize all abortions in all situations. This is radical, inhumane and intolerable in a free society.

So not killing children is inhumane and intolerable?

He wants credit for the Trump appointed SC decision even though he wanted Hillary and Joe to fill those open positions. Does anyone really believe this would have happened if French’s candidates of choice had won?
Exactly.
This day only happened because you didn't get your way. I'm glad that you are happy, and we should all join in celebrating, but some admission that you were wrong would be nice before immediately trying to present yourself as a leader in the struggle. https://t.co/Kl7YOc4Ao1
So thankful your anti-Trumpist obsession and damaged ego failed to keep the country from this moment. If you had gotten your way, this day would have never happened. You should repent for your continual slanders against those who had far more courage and wisdom.
“Decades” in the making—only you would attempt to take credit for something that never would’ve happened without President Trump. And you’re so graceless you can’t bring yourself to credit him.
If you had gotten your way in November 2016, this day wouldn't have happened. You actively encouraged voters to roll over for the election of a president whose justices would have saved Roe. Today is a day for you to hang your head in shame.
Roe is overturned.

The media once again providing cover to domestic terrorism, just like with BLM and Antifa.
