Psalm 131

A song of ascents. Of David.

1 My heart is not proud, Lord,
    my eyes are not haughty;
   I do not concern myself with great matters
    or things too wonderful for me.
2 But I have calmed and quieted myself,
    I am like a weaned child with its mother;
    like a weaned child I am content.

3 Israel, put your hope in the Lord
    both now and forevermore.

  2. My great-nephew, B IV ( he’s the fourth B— named for father, grandfather, and great- grandfather) arrived at 9 last night; 8 pounds, 6 ounces and looking great.

    May God give him a great start, a loving grounding for faith and salvation in Jesus, and much success in life coupled with a lifelong dedication to follow the leading of Jesus with his whole heart. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
