Psalm 127

A song of ascents. Of Solomon.

1 Unless the Lord builds the house,
    the builders labor in vain.
   Unless the Lord watches over the city,
    the guards stand watch in vain.
2 In vain you rise early
    and stay up late,
   toiling for food to eat—
    for he grants sleep to those he loves.

3 Children are a heritage from the Lord,
    offspring a reward from him.
4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
    are children born in one’s youth.
5 Blessed is the man
    whose quiver is full of them.
   They will not be put to shame
    when they contend with their opponents in court.

  5. Prayer for step mom in law as she is in for another chemo treatment. Her daughter took her in. Husband is with his dad trying to get him through an asthma treatment. He is not able to get the meds into his lungs.

  8. Nightingale went in to work this morning and learned that she has to work a double today because they couldn’t get anyone to fill in for the second shift nurse (who I think is on vacation). This is on top of working two doubles last week and also this past weekend was her weekend to work, so I think she may have started this day already worn out. Please pray that she will continue to work well as the day progresses (at least second shift is a little easier than first), and that she will stay alert and awake as she drives home tonight. Thank you.
