Prayer Requests 5-21-22

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 113

Praise the Lord.

   Praise the Lord, you his servants;
praise the name of the Lord.
Let the name of the Lord be praised,
    both now and forevermore.
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.

The Lord is exalted over all the nations,
    his glory above the heavens.
Who is like the Lord our God,
the One who sits enthroned on high,
who stoops down to look
on the heavens and the earth?

He raises the poor from the dust
    and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes,
with the princes of his people.
He settles the childless woman in her home
as a happy mother of children.

   Praise the Lord.

  1. Happy day for the 6 family! May God’s blessings be upon them all today and may the weather cooperate so Mr. 6 can have a good time, too.

  2. Amen and praying for you.

Prayer for husband as he tries to help. Just before he arrived, his dad found himself unable to reach the control to get out of his chair and stepmom fell and could not get up trying to help him. Dishes to do, cleaning that has surpassed their ability to keep up. They need a caretaker like my dad and step mom have. Prayer for connections to find that help. Or persuade them to move here!

  3. Thank you, M, and all praying! There was no flooding down here at the venue, so the outdoor wedding will go on as planned! But temps are to be high of upper 50’s, so a little brrr! Time to get my hair done now!

  4. And thanks for the prayers for Mr. 6 too. He’s on the way to the venue now, about 15 minutes away. And the sun has come out here! Wedding will be by a pretty pond, and it would be so lovely if the sun stays out for the ceremony 3 hours from now. 😊

  5. Feeling a little fatigued today, as they warned me I would. I feel drained. I’m also dealing with some spasming in my bladder which is not fun either. Again, to be expected. 😦

So I stayed home and Zoom called in to men’s prayer group and skipped breakfast afterward. Hopefully I’ll be up to church tomorrow as Isaac and I will be dropping off the second car afterward at the shop for work on Monday.

  6. Praying, AJ. And for the 6 family today. And for the elderly who don’t want to move but one day simply must. So hard. Energy for M as well.

  7. It is difficult when the ‘children’ have to become the parents and put their foot down. Sometimes it has to happen for safety’s sake. Praying your husband will have the wisdom needed.

  8. The complication with both of our parents is the step part. My dad would be fine living here. His dad would be fine living here. My step mom wants to remain where she is so she is closer to her children who are not set up for her. His step mom wants to remain in Florida, a couple hours from her daughter and close to shopping. Challenging to respect their marriages and their needs.

  9. Praying AJ that the med works well and the suffering from it is minor. Praising God that He is working out your healing moment by moment.

Prayers that all went well at the wedding including the weather, and that the honeymoon phase is making sweet memories for life.

Prayers for Mumsee’s concerns over the working out of care for the eldetly. May God make evident quickly what is the best solution given a realistic look by all at the longterm needs.

May God supply Michelle with stamina and energy to continue onward to accomplish all His purposes that He places before her. When she feels weak to do it all, may she feel His strength surge from within.

Jesus, You know the needs before we have mind to ask. Please supply all that is required in the lives of all the Wanderers today, and may Your blessings overflow to others. Bless each od our church services with the felt presense of the Holy Spirit. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  10. Amen

Yes, all those step situations make solutions far more difficult.

Pray for that poor 15 yr. old kidnapped and trafficked for 11 days after going to the bathroom at a Maverick’s game. Pray, too, that the people who did this actually get the sentences and are kept off the streets!!!!

  11. And step mom fell again while preparing for church. She was yelling for grandpa but he could not hear her. And once again we thank God for husband’s ability to be there. Not sure he could have gotten his walker into the area in which she fell.

  12. The emergency responders will only come for so many times to lift people up, before insisting they get into a safer living situation. Have they had to call for that often, mumsee? I know a few who have been through that cycle. Growing older has so many pitfalls and sad situations. Glad your husband was there. Praying for wisdom for all.

  13. When my mom was getting older and weaker, she was taught a method for getting up off the floor by herself. It involved getting onto her hands and knees and “walking” her hands backwards towards her feet as she rose. It can also be done by getting onto the hands and knees position and then crawling to a chair or something else stable to help pull/push oneself up. However, even with those, a person cannot be too weak.

  14. Kathaleena, as far as I know, they have never called emergency services.

Kizzie, I am hoping she will learn some of those tips during her hospital stay.
