It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia.
Anyone else?
Psalm 80
Of Asaph. A psalm.
1 Hear us, Shepherd of Israel,
you who lead Joseph like a flock.
You who sit enthroned between the cherubim,
shine forth 2 before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh.
Awaken your might;
come and save us.
3 Restore us, O God;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved.
4 How long, Lord God Almighty,
will your anger smolder
against the prayers of your people?
5 You have fed them with the bread of tears;
you have made them drink tears by the bowlful.
6 You have made us an object of derision to our neighbors,
and our enemies mock us.
7 Restore us, God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved.
8 You transplanted a vine from Egypt;
you drove out the nations and planted it.
9 You cleared the ground for it,
and it took root and filled the land.
10 The mountains were covered with its shade,
the mighty cedars with its branches.
11 Its branches reached as far as the Sea,
its shoots as far as the River.
12 Why have you broken down its walls
so that all who pass by pick its grapes?
13 Boars from the forest ravage it,
and insects from the fields feed on it.
14 Return to us, God Almighty!
Look down from heaven and see!
Watch over this vine,
15 the root your right hand has planted,
the son you have raised up for yourself.
16 Your vine is cut down, it is burned with fire;
at your rebuke your people perish.
17 Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand,
the son of man you have raised up for yourself.
18 Then we will not turn away from you;
revive us, and we will call on your name.
19 Restore us, Lord God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved.
I read something today that really brought home to me what Kizzie has asked us to pray about. I posted it on the news thread. It had me up early and praying for Kizzie and her daughter. I’m happy to know you all are lifting them as well.
—–
Kizzie I cannot begin to understand what you and your daughter are going thru. It’s frightening and horrible enough just looking from the sidelines. It must be so much worse for you having to live it, and your poor baby having to live confused, afraid, and unhappy with herself. That breaks my heart, and I know it does yours as well.
I wish I could offer solutions, a way out for you both. Sadly, I cannot. I just want you to know that I will continue to lift you both to our Lord, and I ask that he take this burden from you both. I will pray for your daughter, that God will show her she can be happy being who he created her to be, and that he remove the things influencing this from her life.
If and until that happens, just know that we love you, and we are praying for you and your family, and the best outcome for your daughter. 🙂

Amen and amen. I turned in last night praying and awakened praying still. The Lord knows and He cares for the child He created. Seeking the Holy Spirit to soften the heart towards life in Him. ❤️
And continuing to ask the Lord to bring a good report tomorrow Aj….we stand together knowing our Lord is with us always….

I can’t tell you all how very touched I am by your comments and prayers. I also have a couple close friends who are praying, and it all makes me feel less alone in this.

This situation is the first time that I have found myself saying that I am glad that Hubby is not here to see this, while also missing that he is not here to go through it with me.

I am waiting to know what Art needs this evening while he is out on the side of the expressway with all those involved in the multi-car accident. He has talked to an investigstor. Waiting is so difficult.

He is home. About six cars are impounded. A police officer dropped him at a Pilot/Wendy’s combo in a dangerous area of Atlanta. My friend, who went to church with me Sunday, was able to get him an Uber ride home. A tremendous blessing!!! Praise God.
