Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 149
1 Praise the Lord.
Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.
2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
3 Let them praise his name with dancing
and make music to him with timbrel and harp.
4 For the Lord takes delight in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory.
5 Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor
and sing for joy on their beds.
6 May the praise of God be in their mouths
and a double-edged sword in their hands,
7 to inflict vengeance on the nations
and punishment on the peoples,
8 to bind their kings with fetters,
their nobles with shackles of iron,
9 to carry out the sentence written against them—
this is the glory of all his faithful people.
Praise the Lord.
Praising God today. We live in a country where we can freely do so. Others do not. Praying for them. And praying that we will use the time well, getting to know Him in a deep way so when and if things turn bad, we will be lights in the darkness.

There is a young man who has gone to Loas as a missionary who I pray for daily. He asked this to be prayed for– that he be used “as a mighty vessel of God to advance his kingdom.” It is young people like this who give us hope for God’s word continuing to go forth. That and seeing God’s work all around us and in us. Agreeing with you in prayer, mumsee.

Amen, both of you.
I’m amazed that two women whose faith we nourished are missionaries overseas. I did not see that coming and I’m so impressed that they put feet to their belief in Jesus.
And then there is the other example: Jo and Joanne, also overseas ministering.
Thanks be to God.

Yes, we have a young friend, who is also in another foreign country, as well as a relative of a fellow church member. They all get my prayers, as well. How wonderful we can support one another in more ways than one.

Praying for wisdom among Christians in the U.S. right now as we enter into a new political season with an ever-increasing level of anger permeating society.
Scripture’s admonition to “be slow to speak and slow to anger” comes to mind. We now find ourselves in a secular cultural environment that advocates the exact opposite.
May we remember our true allegiance — and seek the strength and character needed to stand aside from that spirit of the age.

~ “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. ~

Praying, Kizzie, sounds uncomfortable.

Kizzie, I am praying.
Does it constantly hurt with dull pain or only sharp pain when you move certain ways?

It tends to be a sharp pain when I move the wrong way (and there are lots of wrong ways), but sometimes if it has been aggravated enough, a duller pain will hang on for a while. Unfortunately, as I alluded to yesterday, “going to the bathroom” is one of the things that aggravates it. That’s not something I can give up until it heals. 😀
