Prayer Requests 1-5-22

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.

Anyone else?

Psalm 138

Of David.

I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;
    before the “gods” I will sing your praise.
I will bow down toward your holy temple
    and will praise your name
    for your unfailing love and your faithfulness,
   for you have so exalted your solemn decree
    that it surpasses your fame.
When I called, you answered me;
    you greatly emboldened me.

May all the kings of the earth praise you, Lord,
    when they hear what you have decreed.
May they sing of the ways of the Lord,
    for the glory of the Lord is great.

Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly;
    though lofty, he sees them from afar.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
    you preserve my life.
   You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes;
    with your right hand you save me.
The Lord will vindicate me;
    your love, Lord, endures forever—
    do not abandon the works of your hands.

  1. Praying for your friends, Nancyjill. My dad had myasthenia gravis and I have a few other relatives that have/had it. Having Covid on top of that must be so horrid. Prayers for peace for you and for healing for them.

  2. We got a notice yesterday that international flights out of PNG on the usual carrier now require that you be vaccinated. Oh, now you can’t leave? But God is good and before I had even seen the news someone found one other airline that does a once a week flight from here. Also, since folks have been traveling, we now have to wear N95 marks at school for the next ten days including the all day meetings tomorrow. I am so done with masks.

    Pray that I will focus on God and His goodness. My last two flights to and from here were full of blessings, He is good and this did not catch Him by surprise.

    Oh and our organization now wants us to enter our vaccination status on their forms.

  3. Prayer, here, again. As every evening. She is bonkers. Nothing will stop her until she is done. She cannot reason. She cannot listen. She cannot understand the consequences of her actions and words.

  4. Okay, we are through the worst. Thanks! Even if nobody saw this tonight, somebody will tomorrow and will pray and God will hear and that is good.
