  1. Another piece of evidence that our system of justice is totally broken.

Incredibly, Clinesmith is once again practicing law even though he is a felon convicted of the type of stuff that they would throw away the key for ordinary folks like us .

“The former FBI lawyer who admitted to fabricating evidence against a former Donald Trump associate during the Trump-Russia investigation has been restored to “good standing” status by the District of Columbia Bar.

Kevin Clinesmith was restored despite being a convicted felon who has not yet finished his probation.

Clinesmith pleaded guilty last year to doctoring an email that originated with the CIA. He manipulated the message to make it seem as if Carter Page, the former Trump campaign associate, was not an asset for the CIA. Page was a CIA asset.

Clinesmith claimed he did not intend to lie when he made the fabrication and received no jail time from a federal judge in January.

While the Michigan Bar disbarred Clinesmith because he pleaded guilty to a felony, the D.C. Bar opted for a temporary suspension.

Clinesmith was suspended “based upon his conviction of a serious crime in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia,” the bar said at the time.

Clinesmith has since been restored to “good standing” status, according to the bar’s website.”

  2. The idiocy from numerous parties is astounding.

“Meta, formerly known as Facebook, is off to a rough start with its virtual reality ambition. A week since its platform Horizon World was launched, users are already reporting cases of harassment and sexual assault.

“Not only was I groped last night, but there were other people there who supported this behavior which made me feel isolated in the Plaza,” the user wrote in Facebook’s official Horizon group, as quoted by The Verge.

The user was reportedly groped by a stranger in the virtual landscape. In another instance, writer Parmy Olson, who tried out the VR experience, spoke of being surrounded by a “group of male avatars” who started taking pictures of her. It made her feel like a “specimen.” As of now, the metaverse realm has a tool called “Safe Zone”; it is a protective bubble built as a safety feature that can purportedly protect users when they feel threatened. Once the shields of Safe Zone go up, no one can touch, talk, or interact with the user in any way.

On reviewing the groping incident, Vivek Sharma, Meta’s vice president of Horizon, said the user didn’t utilize the safety feature and should have just switched on the Safe Zone. Safety, once again, is framed as the responsibility of the user — online as it is offline.”

  3. This case going before the present SCOTUS could have one feeling as safe as gasoline in a match factory.

This has to be considered one of the most (if not the most) important cases in history for the preservation of the Constitution and our freedoms.

“Three companies and Missouri’s attorney general are asking the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) to stay the Biden administration’s vaccine mandates for private businesses with 100 or more employees.

Three companies—Phillips Manufacturing & Tower Company, Sixarp LLC, and Oberg Industries LLC—filed an emergency application (pdf) for an injunction on Friday, saying the Biden administration is pursuing unlimited federal executive power in the vaccine mandate for private businesses.

“There is no dispute among the parties about the common desire to end the scourge of the COVID-19 pandemic,” reads the application. “The arguments advanced by the Executive Branch admit to no cognizable limits on federal executive power.”

“Frustrated with a minority of Americans’ medical choices, the Executive Branch has attempted to control and surveil the vaccination schedules of enormous swaths of the country’s population,” the application added.

The three companies, which all have more than 100 employees, would have to implement the vaccine mandate if it’s not stopped by the courts.

Meanwhile, the vaccine mandate will also jeopardize the companies’ already struggling recruitment efforts, the three applicants said in the application.”
